The property was just right for our stop in Nags Head. Everything was well thought through from beach gear to a well supplied kitchen and bath. Very clean and safe. Kim was a gracious host with great advice on local and other Outer Banks stops. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend staying here. It is very clean and cozy. I have stayed in many short term rentals and I have never seen a host provide as many amenities as Kim does. Those little things go a long way to make your stay more comfortable! The bikes, beach umbrellas and towels, water cooler, paper plates, condiments and other items I generally bring with me were a huge surprise. The location is fantastic and close to everything. Great place!

The studio Bungalow was great. Large spacious room clean room. The host thought of everything that can make an enjoyable stay. From different pillows to toiletries, coffees, teas & condiments. All supplied, all you need to bring is your own clothes & do a little grocery run. The sunset view was amazing. Can’t wait to make it back. Kim is a fantastic host.

Amazing place!!

The Bungalow is an awesome place to stay! This was our first visit to the Outer Banks and we hope to come back again. The host was absolutely wonderful and gave us so much info and advice and that really helped make our vacation perfect.

The Bungalow

Kim provided a clean and welcoming stay for me and my partner. It was super easy to communicate and she had a lot prepared for people visiting Outer Banks. Everything she put into the Bungalow was thoughtful for guests. Extremely clean and a convenient area around activities. Would totally recommend the stay!

Great stay at a great place!!

We had a weekend away in the OBX. The place we clean, well stocked, and lots of great info on TV AC/Heat, and what to do in the are. Kim, the host was friendly and very helpful when we had to cut our trip short. We would stay again and recommend to everyone!

The bungalo is beautiful! It was the perfect place to stay for our trip! I grew up coming to the outer banks and staying in Nagshead but it had been several years and my best friend had never had a proper beach vacation so I wanted to show her my favorite place in the whole world. We picked this spot mainly because it was a 3 min drive to the beach and a 3min drive to jockeys Ridge and only 18 minutes to Manteo. I am so glad we picked this spot! Kim has so many thoughtful extras and so much excellent advice on locations around the Islands! There were three sets of beach chairs, one with backpack straps that we used, an umbrella, beach bags, coolers, beach towels along with regular towels, beach games, bikes, a grill, after sun lotion, aloe put thoughtfully in the fridge, there was butter when we got there even though we had bought some! A bandaid station, all the things you might forget or might not be able to bring with you on a plane. The couch is just as comfy as the bed and there are three firmnesses of pillows and several extra blankets. Books are scattered throughout for perusal as well as local guidebooks to restaurants sightseeing and more! The kitchen has a toaster, a microwave and a kurig as well as a hot plate for any traditional cooking you need to do. There is kurig coffee but only traditional tea bags in the fridge. There is a kettle you can use on the hot plate but we got impatient and heated our water in the microwave 10/10 stay beautiful sunrise and sunset!

I am an Outer Banks local. My family owned and operated several restaurants, drive-ins, and a motel. I gained a passion for hospitality at a young age! I enjoy beachcombing, fishing, and walking the neighborhood. Being a host allows me to share my love for the beautiful Outer Banks and the place I’m lucky enough to call home!

Why they chose this property

Having grown up in Nags Head I am very partial to this town. I find the beaches to be wider and prettier. Nags Head tries to maintain the look and feel of what we call Old Nags Head Style. This refers to houses with cedar shakes, winding porches/decks, and shutters. I also find the town to be a little less congested and less commercialized. Old Nags Head Cove is in the heart of Nags Head. It is located along the water, close to Jockey’s Ridge State Park, and close to the beach.

What makes this property unique

The Bungalow is centrally located, nicely furnished, extremely clean, and packed with extra amenities! Convenient location if you want to: go to the beach, visit Manteo for lunch and shopping, try watersports, head south to check out the lighthouses and Cape Hatteras, or go north to check out the other towns. This is a GREAT starting point to venture out. Or, just stay put. The Bungalow is a very relaxing place. Trees, birds, sunshine, patio, back yard, hammock, bike riding - or just chillin!
