It was an amazing stay at the cozy cottage! Traci and John greeted my wife and I, as well as our dog, and showed us around even though we checked in at 8pm. The tub was a great experience after going through the sequoia national park. Would love to come back for more nights!
Traci and John are incredible hosts! Warm and welcoming. The cozy cottage is just as advertised and more. All the amenities that you need and wonderful breakfast included along with orange juice. Well stocked kitchen goodies , drinks and desserts. We definitely will come back and stay longer. Beautiful drive and wonderful bird watching. If every want a stay close to Kings canyon and the Sequoias , this is the place you want to stay. Thank you again John and Traci

The hosts have tried to think of everything a guest may need and cannot get or find in a remote rural area, and they have succeeded.
Great base for visiting the National Parks.
The property is so cute and comfortable. Decor is neat and lots to look at. John and Traci are so personable and they have thought of so much to make the stay wonderful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at the Cozy Cottage. The apartment was fun, clean, and eclectic. We had a short drive to the entrance of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. The hosts, John and Tracey, made the visit memorable and unique with their hospitality and breakfast . We would definitely consider coming back !
Traci and John were great hosts. Kind and helpful, they anticipate their guests needs and provide all that is required for a comfortable stay. We highly recommend!
We stayed four nights, as the location was close to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park. The hosts were so hospitable and the cottage was super cute and comfortable.
We had a great time and enjoyed Traci and John so much. They have thought of whatever you might need and provide a great breakfast and other amenities. The place is clean and the bed is comfortable. Loved it!
The cozy cottage was the perfect place to stay while visiting Yosemite and surrounding areas! It was clean and well equipped. John and Traci were super great. They provided a relaxing space, laughs and options for food purchases after a long day in the parks. Then a delicious delivered breakfast in the morning, a great way to start the day! We had an awesome stay!
An awesome home base for my exploration of Sequoia and Kings Canyon!
The whole cottage was comfortable and cozy, and that bathtub after a long day of hiking was amazing. The hosts made sure I had a hot breakfast every morning, and I was visited by wild turkeys and a friendly rooster. I would absolutely stay again!
Excellent hosts, spacious adorable space, a little far from amenities but the hosts provide food and drink for very nominal prices.
Hosts were a wealth of information!

We're very grateful for our guests like Sondra. We hope your future travels bring you back. Would gladly host another stay.
This place was almost too nice. It was beautiful and comfortable. Comfy bed, gorgeous bathroom, a living area with a nice tv and lots of movies. It was one of the lodging accomodations closest to Kings Canyon National Park, and it allowed dogs. I couldn't ask for better. The grounds were a birdwatcher's dream. Because restaurants and grocery stores were not nearby, the hosts had brilliantly provided frozen meals and snacks and drinks for purchase at a nominal fee, and breakfast is included in the rental price. John and Traci are terrific people to stay with. I highly recommend this cottage for your national park visit.

Wonderful couple whom we would love to host again.
My husband and I loved our stay. The cottage was perfectly described. The owners were fantastic. The breakfast that was delivered to us in the morning was a special treat. We would definitely stay again. Location was close to Kings Canyon. Sequoia was closed due to road damage. Great location.

We had a great stay at the cozy cottage. Traci and John are very kind hosts and made sure everything was alright for us. They even prepared a delicious breakfast in the morning. The cottage was beautifully decorated and clean. A highlight were the wild turkeys that greeted us upon arrival outside in the frontyard. Thank you for having us, John and Traci.
If you're wondering if the reviews are accurate about this place...they are!! The experience that the hosts give you begin when you arrive! So welcoming & inviting. My boyfriend and I felt like it was "our place." Love that they make us breakfast in the morning. Very lovely here and would come again!

About the host
Hosted by John Welsh
We have lived near the entrance to Kings Canyon National Park for 20 years. Our life's experiences, as well as our work experience, have helped us to understand, and flourish in the Hospitality business. Our aim is to provide our guests with a wonderful experience, and provide a home that each and every guest will love, and call their own.
Why they chose this property
Our property is conveniently located on a paved county road. It is a single story, with very easy access. Other properties in the area are very old, dirt roads, and are in conditions not worthy of a stay (in our opinion). Our property boasts old growth oaks, pines, manzanita, and plenty of room to enjoy nature. In addition to our 15 acre property where we live and host, we also have a 100 acre cattle ranch which our guests have access to. There you will find a seasonal creek, along with miles of trails, views, and above all else, serenity with no other humans present (other than a caretaker).
What makes this property unique
Aside from our easy access, our cottage is decorated to be pleasing to the eye, and comfort for the soul. Our guests find the comfort so amazing that they almost always make themselves at home. Our Cottage is a single floor plan, where there are no stairs required, no animal barns with farm-like aromas, and personal attentiveness is provided by both of us, unlike other locations where the owners are not present to meet the needs of each and every guest. In addition to the above, we pride ourselves on cleanliness. Each and every linen, including comforters is washed prior to each guests arrival. Extra linens are provided as well. Lastly, our large yard, as well as a 1 acre pasture for your personal enjoyment is available to each and every guest.
