About the host

Hosted by Tom and Mercedes Martinez

Host profile image
Hi there, my name is Tom, and along with my wife Mercedes, we're excited to welcome you to our family cabin. We truly love the Triad area, especially the charming town of Danbury, which has embraced us as our own family and where we have built our second home. When we first came to Danbury, we fell in love with its natural surroundings, its friendly folks, and the overwhelming feeling of community and wholesomeness reminiscent of a bygone era.

Why they chose this property

We bought this property because we fell in love with the area, its unspoiled beauty, and its proximity to the Hanging Rock State Park, the Dan River, and Pilot Mountain State Park.

What makes this property unique

The cabin sits nestled within a 43-acre private wooded area. On the property itself, you will enjoy making home-cooked meals, toasting s'mores in the fire pit, watching the star-studded nights, and waking to dew-kissed mornings. Hiking the property through its own trails, creeks, and crossing over to the Dan River is a calming and healthy exercise.
