The historic manor house “AMORZINHO DO VAU” - Anno 1835 - lies like a small treasure chest on one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal.

Freshly renovated and furnished with great attention to detail by the designer, the villa on the ground floor offers 160sqm, 2 bedrooms with shower-bath en-suite, a fully equipped kitchen with large dining area, spacious living area with fireplace. Shady Moorish arcades open up a unique south-west sea view over the picturesque rocky bay, palm trees and magical sunsets.

An external staircase leads to the large roof terrace. There is another suite "BEIJINHO DO VAU". On 25sqm, it has a bedroom for 2 people with shower-bath en-suite, kitchenette with dining and living area and breathtaking panoramic views.

If you want to keep a cool head even in the summer heat, you can cool the house comfortably with the air conditioning (15, - € / day).

In the winter months, we can heat the pool to pleasant temperatures on request,
(20, - € / day)

Heaters in all living areas, bedrooms and bathrooms also make a stay in the Portuguese winter months November to March very pleasant.

Just a few steps to the beach, various beach restaurants, bars, cafes and a small supermarket, the romantic AMORZINHO DO VAU is in close proximity to the most beautiful attractions in the Algarve.

Location location location

Fantastic property with all the amenities. Location is simply incredible overlooking the sunset. Restaurants is area are all just there and quite good and inexpensive.

Fabulous villa in fabulous location

Had a wonderful week at the villa. The villa itself is stunning with fantastic views right on the beach. Everything is accessible on foot with a 15 minute walk in to Praia da rocha with all the shops restaurants and nightlife. A small local shop 2 minutes walk and a few bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Communication with the owners was really good with easy instructions on arrival and during our stay. Highly recommended for a relaxing holiday in a brilliant location, no car needed. Perfect for families as there is a self contained apartment also. Beds were really comfortable and the location couldn’t have been better. Thank you so much, we had an amazing time.

Beautiful Villa with character

We stayed for the week ending 4th June 2022. The only mishap we had was the door to the main house closed behind me, I'm staying ing the separate apartment above and I had left the only 1 key to the main house on the hallway table. I would request a second key if the group staying there have separate outings. I was charged €25 to be let back in.

Amazing villa

We really enjoyed our week in August at this property. It has a great layout and feel, and meets what we were hoping for from the pictures. It is separated from the beach by a road, but this doesn’t detract from its excellent location. Will be going back? Answer - no. The prices for next year are being hiked by about 30%. It was already expensive, but worth it. The new prices make it too much for us and harder to ignore the one significant issue which was the lack of usable shade around the pool during the afternoon. A pergola or something similar would be an ideal solution and in keeping with the look of the property. While we were there, there was no hot water in the main bedrooms downstairs. So we had to shower in the separate room upstairs. The decor and linen were also a little tired, but still acceptable. Overall a great place. Were it not for the price increases, I would give it the highest possible recommendation.

Beautiful Property, Fabulous Location

My husband and I rented this beautiful home for two weeks, and we were joined by another couple for the second week. There was plenty of room for all four of us to spread out if we wanted to and several options to spend time together in the house for meals, conversation, areas, lounging by the pool, etc. all of the beds were comfortable and each bedroom had its own bathroom with shower. The house is located in a busy area, but is VERY private. The house is within walking distance to a couple of good restaurants, small grocery store, and a pub, and of course great beaches. We walked from the beach in front of the house all the way down, about two kilometres along the beach. Best to do this at low tide but doable at high tide as well. There is a narrow one-way road between the house and the beach, and if you continue walking down this one-way road for about 10 minutes, you come across a market that is on every day, and is about 1 km long. There are vendors, restaurants, shops, mostly souvenir type retail, but still enjoyable to walk down and stop for lunch at one of the many Italian or other restaurants. Our favourite was San Martino, overlooking the ocean. From the house location, you can drive to several wonderful small towns and take a tour on the Bengail Caves. Cons - there were extra charges to have the swimming pool heated to 82° and to use the air conditioning, which in the summertime is a must. We had some plumbing issues and always seem to be short on towels.

O melhor do Vau

Excelente propriedade, muito bem cuidada e muito confortável. A localização não podia ser melhor ser melhor. Da óptima piscina da casa à praia demora “20 segundos” a pé!!

Wonderful beachside villa

The property was everything as described and more. The interior was tastefully decorated with ample seating and various dining areas inside and out. Even though February is the off season the weather was pleasant and no crowds of tourists on the beach. The restaurants were in walking distance of the villa. The Jacaranda was particularly delightful. We'll certainly be returning again next year. What a find!
