Pretty magical setting, a simple house but it's got everything you need; comfy beds and sofas, big deck, proximity to the beach, close to the bus stop, absolutely perfect for a long weekend in Nantucket.
nice clean home close to the beach and sandwich/coffee shop. It is rustic, just as its described. In a quiet neighborhood and the home/deck is secluded by bushes/hedges
You must be ok with a rustic cottage. Its location was great for us. It is in a tiny village that has a great little market and is home of the famous “Claudette’s” sandwich/coffee shop. Housekeeping was not done when we arrived but was corrected quickly through the the host, Jennifer. Everything we needed was there. We would stay there again.
The property was perfect for our family. It’s in a great location. We rented bikes and enjoyed being able to walk and bike to the beach and market. Thanks for letting us stay!
Great place and Great location. Loved our stay. Exactly what the description says. Rustic simple a wonderful place to get away from the crowd of downtown.
We had a great stay at this home. The home had what we needed (AC, cooking utensils, etc.). It was wonderful to stay in Sconset. We only wish we saw saw the other reviewers that mentioned which side to enter.
The place was rustic but clean & well maintained, easy access and beautiful area. Till next time...

The location is pretty far from the center, but it was a short walk to the village and beach. Rustic it was. There weren’t a lot of outlets and the bedrooms were very dark. It wasn’t possible to see anything because there was only one small light. I imagine the space is difficult to air condition when it is a very hot day since there is no insulation at not all of the windows open.
The cottage was lovely and quaint and Jennifer was a great host. Yes, the cottage is 'rustic', but there was a flat screen TV and decent kitchen amenities, new decking. Some folks mentioned dust and I have allergies, but I didn't have any problem at all, it was clean and orderly. You cant beat the price of this cottage and complete privacy, so just go into w an open mind and enjoy all that Sconset has to offer.
This is our second year staying here (see my previous review from August 2023) and we loved it as much as we did last year: easy, relaxed, comfortable, great location. One thing I’d mention is that there are no smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors in the house (which they say in the listing, it wasn’t a surprise), so if that is something that is important to you, I would recommend bringing your own. Otherwise, we had a great second stay here and would definitely return! Thanks for sharing this special house.
Very clean! The outdoor shower was a big hit. My Dad cleaned/trimmed bushes further because we wanted to put it to use. Recommendation: Bushes need to be trimmed back for better access. Burners on stove are tipped. We did not want to adjust those, but made a couple of breakfasts during our stay. Beds were very good. A/C and space heaters really helped. Ice chest was handy - don’t mind fixing a few things - ants were in kitchen by sink - found spray and used it. Bought two blankets for the beds and left them. The patio is lovely. I would recommend an umbrella for shade. The nearby beaches, General Store, Sankaty Lighthouse and playground were all absolute gems! Experience was great!

Nice Try
Directions to the property were abismal. Bad start. House was not what was portrayed online. Much older, beds were uncomfortable. Floors were uneven, and walls leaked to the outside. Rent it at a reasonable price if it rents at all !

Thank you for your feedback. The description states rustic, so there are no lies there. I apologize you found the beds uncomfortable. We try our best to tend to all guests needs. Wishing you the best with future renters.
We loved this house. Sure, it is rustic (as the title says), but we loved the vibe. The architecture, exposed wood, and white floors felt like a 60s surf bungalow. The house is interesting and there are some quirks, but nothing that had any impact on our stay. It was clean and well appointed where it mattered- the linens were clean and fresh, the kitchen and bathroom were clean, the mattresses on the twin beds seemed new. It was walking distance to the little town, beach, playground, Sconset bluff walk, and bus stops.
Only one thing I would mention is that if you put the address into GPS, it will take you to a side of the house you cannot enter. Go around to the little street behind the house to find the driveway. We didn't realize that at first and had to figure it out. Otherwise, we had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

Rustic is Accurate
We tried to contact the host with questions before our stay and did not get a response. It was was worrisome as I've never encountered this with other hosts before. Thankfully we got in without issue. Unfortunately there was an issue with the cleaning service or someone using the place after it was cleaned. Someone from the cleaning service came by to apologize which was nice, but still unsure as to what happened. There was no propane for the grill which we purchased. And asked the host for reimbursement but never heard back.
Awful accommodations despite promises by owner to fix issues from previous bad reviews.
The owner kept her too abandoned cars on the property in the way of the narrow entrance— I scratched my car in the shrubbery trying to get out without hitting her car! She promised to have cars removed and she didn’t also as stated in previous bad reviews the furniture was broken the amenities were awful the place was crawling with ants and spiders the oven did not work! If I didn’t travel so far and with the kids and couldn’t schedule out a sooner car ferry, I would have left and not stayed but the island was sold out due to Boston Pops! I had to put sheets (thankfully I brought my own!) on all the couches and beds because everything was dirty and worn! The electricity was so dated outlets were far and few between. No dishwasher, kitchen was disgusting as was the makeshift bathroom/shower! A knockdown house! Yuck!

Please keep in mind the below review comes from an extremely disrespectful guest that damaged furniture, left the home a disaster, food all over the place and wants to make up lies to avoid owning up to her actions. I have photos of everything. The below is not accurate, but that's ok. One lying guests wont ruin the abundance of the home.
