Well equipped and in a quiet location close to amenities
The house is located perfectly in the village and for access to the surrounding area ( Daylesford). Excellent pubs in the village ( the plough and the wild Rabbit). Book ahead though as they are very popular. House was clean. The heating took a while to figure out, however, Olivia was on hand to answer any questions and sort out any issues. Despite the house sleeping 8 people, the sitting room only had one sofa and a couple of chairs. Perhaps could do with another sofa to make it more comfortable. Lovely enclosed garden which was great for our dog.
House numbering in the neighborhood was a bit wonky, but once we found the right house, we had such a lovely time. The cottage was so cute and cozy. It was well stocked, appointed and clean. Wish we could have stayed longer!
We were a group of two families, each with two girls aged 7 & 4. The house was spacious and well equipped and is perfectly located for enjoying this beautiful corner of England.
This is a very nice home in Kingham on a very quiet street. The home was nice except for one bedroom which was very small. While we were satisfied with the home, the area did not have much to do. Not sure why it is described as a "foodie haven" since there were only two restaurants in the immediate vicinity one of which was very expensive.

Lovely to have you stay with us - the village has multiple restaurants within 5 mins strolling distance, which is so lucky in a quaint rural Cotswolds village… The Wild Rabbit has won many awards over the years (most recently named "best for organic excellence" by The Times for 2025) and is perfect for special occasions, but sorry if the fine dining was not what you had in mind price-wise. However there was of course the equally local “Kingham Plough” which is a wonderful gastropub, for those looking for a more casual evening with regular prices. There’s also the food emporium of Daylesford Organic on the other side of the village, with its numerous special restaurants and relaxed café. Also within a few mins drive are The Fox at Oddington, The Kings Head at Bledington, The Chequers at Churchill, Diddly Squat farm in Charlbury, The Hare at Milton-Under-wychwood, and Chipping Norton’s many good value pubs with food (including The Blue Boar, The Red Lion, the other Chequers). I listed a long range of restaurants in the Welcome Info at the cottage, so I’m sorry that you may have missed reading that (many of The Cotswolds Gentleman’s top 50 pubs are wonderfully close-by). I love Kingham for being a super and varied foodie heaven, at all different price-points (though I recognise that in general, the Cotswolds is an increasingly fancy part of the world, so sorry if that put you off).
Everything was fantastic except for the fact that the previous people/cleaning person?!?!? Had left the freezer door slightly ajar so the freezer was one large ice cube which we had to defost to get our groceries in.
The property is in a lovely location, we had a very pleasant weekend stay for a family wedding held in village. On arrival we found the property easily but unfortunately we couldn’t drive our vehicle to the house as there are two height restricted archways into the close (this information would have been useful to know). Vrbo did not have access details listed I had to contact Olivia for these directly she responded quickly and it was easy access with the information she provided. The house and rooms were as described with some lovely little touches from the owner designed to make your stay comfortable.
Well appointed, smart property. Very comfortable. Slightly confused by reference to a "key box" for entry, but the key box was only for the use of the cleaner, and guests had an electronic entry. Owner put us right at once.
Lovely private outdoor seating area at the back with large table. Comfy beds, good bedrooms. Slightly disconcerted by the internal window on the downstairs loo, and no lock. Suggest a curtain across the window would be good.
No 10 is a spacious
and gracious Cotswold
house with a traditional feel. The kitchen is exceptional well equipped. The bedrooms are very quiet and the beds are very comfortable. Every surface is spotless. The house is just outside the main perimeter of the village ge butvwithin easy reach of the splendid (Daylesford run) pubs.
Chastleton House, and the Daylesford rd Food cand Garden centres are only five minutes drive away. We had patchy weather but we all agreed that even if we had been holed up within the house, it would have been a delightful place to spend a wet afternoon. . Congratulations to Olivia and her team for creating such a haven.

Such a lovely review - please do come again Nigel, you’re a charming guest!
As a foodie myself, I love how close our cottage is to some of the country's greatest pubs and restaurants.... and then there's also beautiful walks in the bluebell woods to burn off the calories afterwards! Kingham is such a wonderfully relaxing and welcoming place, with enough entertainment in the Cotswolds area to keep all members of the family happy (Blenheim Palace, horse-riding, trout fishing, cycling routes, country fairs, pubs with the local Hooky ale and roaring open fires). This designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is close enough to London or Oxford for a short weekend break, but varied enough for guests to luxuriate for a week.
Why they chose this property
We were drawn to this honey-coloured stone barn because it's right in notoriously beautiful Kingham village, but tucked away behind dry stone walls - so is silent at night, and still within walking distance of the gentle buzz of the village, the village store and two knockout pubs. For those without a car, it's also on the mainline train from London (journey time 1hr15mins) with the station only 20mins walk away. Our home has a sense of history, with a stylishly modernised kitchen and facilities.
What makes this property unique
Kingham neighbours Daylesford Organic Farm, with its emporium, restaurants, cookery classes and spa. So inbetween relaxing in our home's sizeable secluded garden or lounging in the supremely comfortable underfloor-heated reception rooms, you can also walk along the country track to Daylesford. Kingham itself is ridiculously pictureseque, and was once voted "England's favourite village" by Country Life. Once a year, the spotlight shines on the village as it hosts Alex James' Feastival (hosted by the cheese-supremo and ex-member of Blur) when many celebrities descend on the village for a weekend of good-natured fun and music.
