The house was big and roomy. It is definitely in the middle of nowhere if you want to relax. We loved the fence area for our dogs.Everything was clean!
The house was spacious and comfortable with great amenities. The kitchen was very well equipped. The owners were very responsive and attentive to ensuring our stay went well. The location was very good for solitude, hiking, and getting to skyline drive and Shenandoah Valley. We had nice days of hiking or touring followed by dinner in and then dinner and/or drinks and cocktails in the hot tub or at the fire pit.
Great hosts. Clear communication and quick responses. Comfortable mountain home. Clean and had everything we needed. The game room in the garage provides entertainment for all ages. Perfect for grown ups too with a hot tub and nice fire pit area. We enjoyed stargazing in the quiet off season. Would visit again.
Wonderful place to stay! This home is well-appointed and a very comfortable place to stay. We enjoyed the arcade room each day, the hot tub was perfect for relaxing in after our mountain hikes, and we finished each day with s’mores around the fire pit. The fenced dog yard was so helpful to have. The location was perfect for mountain activities and relaxation in the quiet of nature. The hosts are very responsive and the checkout list is completely reasonable. We would 100% stay here again.
We had a great time at The Hideaway! The property is pristine and had everything we needed to keep our kids busy. Loved the proximity to the various caverns, National Park, and Lake Laura!

You made our day, thank you! It was a pleasure hosting you!
My wife and I had an excellent time staying here. Unfortunately it rained every day and prohibited us from doing some of the things we were planning. However it allowed us to unwind from the stresses of living in Northern VA. Definitely recommend this property and the owners communication is 5 star. You won't be disappointed until you realize you suck at badminton and your wife dominates you playing foozball. (She Cheated). Awesome and quiet neighborhood. Plenty of places in the area to get fresh produce and meats. Highly recommended,
We enjoyed all the amenities of this lovely house. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, the game room was perfect for our youngest family member, the hot tub was relaxing, and its location provided lovely views.
It was wonderful staying in a house so close to the resort! The kitchen had everything we needed when preparing food. The game room was a hit with the grandchildren. It was really nice having the fireplace in the evenings. Great house and location!Donna and Rick

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! It was a pleasure hosting you!
The property was a restful home base as we tackled fun around the area. The kids having the garage play space to be loud while the adults had quieter space inside was a blessing.
We had a wonderful stay. Enjoyed quiet mornings, sipping coffee on the back deck (even saw some deer come through), and sitting by the fire every evening. The hot tub was lovely on the chill nights and the lighting made for great ambiance. Plus you could turn the lights off and just have the fire and a sky full of stars!
