Abiquiu Lake Mesa Home is a spacious one-bedroom, one-bath fully furnished home, set on a mesa overlooking the glassy waters of Abiquiu Lake, the red cliffs of Ghost Ranch and surrounding mountains on all sides. Located in Georgia O'Keeffe territory, it is surrounded by red and purple rock formations, Abiquiu Lake, the Chama River, Carson National Forest and Cerro Pedernal. Every view from every direction is truly inspiring.

This spacious and comfortable home is an oasis for quiet stillness, rejuvenation, and creativity. The house has a wonderful indoor - outdoor floor with 2 oversized sliding glass doors and a large verandah. You will feel the power of the water, land, and skies in this seamless indoor/outdoor space. Star gazing, sunrise, and sunset are not to be missed!

Staying here is an amazing and unique "get-away" experience located on an 8-acre property with the lake and red rocks in front of you and the famous Pedernal Mountain standing guard behind you. You can't help but sense the vast scope and close centering of the land that inspired Georgia O'Keeffe's paintings. The Studios are located in a secondary building on an 8-acre property. The history and beauty of the land is powerful. Enjoy immersing yourself in your surroundings, taking in the night skies and fresh air, hiking from your door, visiting the lake and surrounding areas, and recharging your spirit.

Step into the home and you will know you have arrived someplace special. It offers a spacious and open living area that includes a fully equipped kitchen, a separate dining area with a four person dining table, and 2 bar-stools at the breakfast bar.

The cozy living room with a fireplace invites you to curl up and relax with a book or movie or watch from your comfortable couch.

The primary bedroom suite has an en-suite bath with double sinks, a walk-in shower and wonderful soaking tub with a window. Luxurious linens and quality amenities finish the package.

While we recommend "unplugging" as much as possible, you also have complementary unlimited WIFI and 2 SMART TV's.

The home features sliding glass doors from both the dining area and the primary bedroom that open up to a deck which spans the length of the house and overlooks the lake. The deck offers three different seating areas and amazing views of Lake Abiquiu and spectacular red rock landscapes. You can enjoy a seamless indoor/outdoor living experience.

The steps from the deck lead to the fire pit and the six-person hot tub.

Private lake access is 3/4 mile away or a lovely 10-15 minute walk, or quick drive. *Please Note the Google Map descriptions are not quite accurate in this remote area.

Loved the property house was in great condition just as described. We enjoyed hiking on the property and getting in hot tub in early morning listening to the elk bugling in background. We brought a motorcycle and toured all around Abiquiu and the Taos area . We did several hikes around Ghost Ranch . Abiquiu is our go to spot to vacation the scenery is out of this world . Tani was a great host we had no problems whatsoever with house or getting there .

Northern New Mexican Paradise

This beautifully appointed home sits atop a mesa with views of Abiquiú Lake in one direction and famous and enchanting Cerro Pedernal in the opposite direction — all this under a magnificent New Mexican sky. The house was modern and cozy w/ high-beam ceiling. Every window had a spectacular view. We walked the mesa and enjoyed the stunning views and peacefulness. What a find!

Relaxing stay with beautiful views

We really enjoyed this stay, the views are magnificent. My wife and I stayed here for my son’s wedding that was held nearby in the National Forest. My mother and sister also joined us in the adjacent studios. Our location was perfect for my mom and sister to join us on the patio and share meals with us. While we were unpacking on our arrival my wife and I said “we are definitely coming back here”! This place is so charming.

Tani splits time between Albuquerque and Abiquiu. The owner is working full-time but will respond to texts and messages as soon as she is able.
