Great Cottage

The cottage was great, with a lovely porch. The lake was quiet and clean. We used the canoe and paddles and really enjoyed our stay. The property manager was responsive to our questions and very helpful.

Lovely area!

The cottage had every thing we needed to make our stay enjoyable, The host and hostess were on hand for anything you need and very friendly The lake made for beautiful views and a very peaceful environment. We watched various types of birds: Heron, loons, ducks and a family of geese. There is a local store with pretty much everything you need. The Belfast area has numerous types of eateries, unique shops: a nice book store, a great toy store, a gem and jewelry and more!

Host was confused when we showed up for our reservation; she began talking to us through a camera on the house asking us who we were. She thought we were checking in on Monday, so I showed her our reservation on my phone. We have been traveling for a very long time and was very surprised at how many things we had to go out and buy: toilet paper, shampoo, soap, a much needed hair dryer. New washer and dryer sitting there not hooked up. We were there a week and had to buy undergarments because we could not wash anything. She said there was a dryer downstairs, but the basement was locked. She did respond to us every time we called or texted. We have never stayed anywhere that forced us to provide so many necessary items. The lake was beautiful and enjoyable.

I am sorry that you thought the cottage had a hair dryer and washer/dryer. It doesn’t stay we supply these things. We will be installing a W/D unit the end of the season for next year. We supply small soap, lotion, shampoo, and dish soap. If you needed more than what was supplied you could have asked and we would have supplied you with more. We supplied 3 rolls of toilet paper and 2 rolls of paper towels. If you used more than supplied again we are a phone call again to grab you more.
