Uniquely situated to provide unsurpassed views of Destin's amazing coastline, this unit at Beach Retreat boasts lavish accommodations enhanced by stunning decor and furnishings.

This top floor (4th) corner unit with the largest floor plan (1,534 sq ft) is located directly in front of the beach access. The end unit provides unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico and is very quiet.

All three King Suites were designed with comfort and luxury in mind. Each enjoys a private full bath, TV and DVD player. Black out draperies and plantation shutters ensure a cozy late morning or an afternoon nap while falling asleep to the sound of the surf.
There are hall bunks with a full lower and twin upper. This area also has a television for bunk viewing.

On your private balcony you'll be able to read, sunbathe, listen to the gentle waves, take in the views, or enjoy a cup of coffee and the morning views while watching the dolphins just off shore. At the end of the day you'll wind down to breath-taking views of the sunset.

Owner reserves the right to require Saturday to Saturday rentals only during high season

Great getaway

The updates were great! Decor and appliances were nice. Only reasons we couldn’t give 5 stars: Beds were not comfortable and maybe update towels/washcloths, and have more of those. Otherwise, it was a nice stay.

Nice view , poor room quality

We have been coming to beach retreat for many years. The location, view, emerald water and working with Becki Downs have always been our favorite. However, this unit needs work with the price we paid we left disappointed for our first time! The patio furniture cushions were very uncomfortable, all of our bed mattresses need updated and all our bedsheets were poor quality and some stains. Our towels were all dingy and stained. The kitchen appliances are not up to date and hard to use, we had ants all over our kitchen, the bathroom tubs and shower bottoms were very dirty and stained. We just didn’t get a clean vibe! We will not plan on staying at this unit in the future!

First let me say that I am extremely disappointed to read this review. When you called me I felt we had a great conversation about your concerns. I informed you that the condo has new owners and they are currently in the process of beginning a complete remodel. I did apologize to you and asked if there was anything that could be done to improve your stay. I also offered a future credit to you for your next stay with us. During the call we did discuss all of your concerns and you said you understood and I felt comfortable that you were comfortable. I am truly sorry because I must have misunderstood what you were saying to me. Since you have been staying with me for years I know that you usually have an excellent experience and this instance was an unusual circumstance. Please know that we will take great care to enhance your future stays with us This condo has a beautiful view and once the new owner's remodel is complete the interior will be fabulously beautiful....they just need a chance to complete everything.

Emerald Beaches Did Not Disappoint

The beaches in Florida are certainly the most beautiful in the country. The owner has two chairs and one umbrella reserved daily, which is great! However, bring extra chairs for other family members, if not, there is a fee for each extra chair used. The condo itself is nice, however, dated. The coffee maker makes a jet engine sound. Day 1 my husband purchased a Keurig for us to use during our stay, coffee is a must. The beds are dated, but appear to be clean. I always check for bed bugs, didn't see any... Bring extra toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags, they only supply you with one use. Florida beaches are #1 in the country, the water is amazing! The views from the balcony are nice, but unfortunately you can't hear the waves crashing due to all the cars driving in front of the condo. If you get up super early or stay up late you will get a different experience. While I personally wouldn't stay here again due to personal preferences, my overall rating is good. Besides, we aren't there for the room, we're there for the Emerald Beaches, which did not disappoint.

We are so happy that you fell in love with our piece of paradise! The Destin area is certainly one of the most beautiful areas that I have ever seen--and I travel alot. The Destin area is definitely a busy place in July because of it's beauty and popularity therefore you might consider a visit in August or September. I am so very sorry you were not thrilled with the condo. If there was an issue with the coffee maker we would have immediately replaced it, but we never received a call from you. This coffee maker is fairly new so maybe it was that you are used to a Keurig? The condo is as our pictures portray so it did not change from the time that you booked it so I would say dated is a personal preference. We are very happy that you found the condo clean as this is extremely important to us. Finally sometimes I think people are confused when staying in a vacation rental that is owned by an individual or family. These condos are not rooms and are not the same as a hotel but we do supply starter supplies, if other supplies are necessary or desired it is up to you to obtain them. Destin also has many wonderful hotels that might be more what you are used to. Whatever your stay preference we do hope that you return to this paradise to relax in our beautiful water and stroll on our white sandy beaches. Thank you for staying with us!

Our stay for a siblings reunion was fantastic!! The condo was exactly as stated, Lenny of room, spectacular view and very comfortable and homey!!! We loved being able to walk to places, sightsee, shop, etc. also. The swimming pool was beautiful, well-kept, and just perfect. Don’t hesitate!!! Becky Downs and her husband are the best! Breach Retreat Always Exceeds Expectations

Our family has been coming to the Beach Retreat for 10+ years and we have never been disappointed. Great place for grand babies, expectant mother’s and our fur babies. Nearly awesome

The stay would have been perfect other than the work being done on the roof. The were dropping metal flashing as well as the strapping for the material they were using. There was metal, wood and junk laying around the elevator entrances on both ends.
