We stayed in the unit over the weekend and it was perfect! Super convenient location so you can hop over to Coupeville, or over to Oak Harbor. The host was very responsive to my questions beforehand, really appreciated that. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful property right on the beach. Private and quiet even though it is right off the main highway. Very cute and comfortable with a lot of space to just hang out and enjoy the beauty close by.

Perfect weekend getaway. Beach access perfect for walking along the water looking for shells. Great sunroom to watch the water at night or enjoy coffee in the morning. Central location for many different sites and activities.
Loved the modern finishes and comforts. Being able to see the ocean from the bed was utter bliss. Mornings in the sunroom was our favorite. Would stay here again.
A very special place located directly on Penn Cove. Woke up every morning to an amazing view of the water. The accommodations were very comfortable and stylish. Communication was great.
If I could leave more than 5 stars I would. This rental is absolutely stunning and it seems so many of the small details that make a place cozy were thought of. Further! it might be the most comfortable bed I have slept in in any rental.. added bonus is the tiny fridge by the bed.

Quiet, beautiful space and lovely views, very convenient to Oak Harbor and Coupeville. Perfect for a retreat. And very welcoming for my two fur babies! They live the view and watching all the birds in the spacious sun porch,

The suite is clean, comfort and equipped with pretty much everything needed for our stay. The location is great as Coupeville and Oak Harbor are nearby, and it was an ideal base from which to explore Whidbey. Debbie is a wonderful host and even coordinated shipping items we’d accidentally left behind. I will definitely be back!

This property is right on the beach front. During low tide it's a great place to walk the beach. When high tide comes in, the water is close to the stairs and feels like you are staying right on the water. Birds were active gathering muscles and fish. Eagles spotted in the trees and on the pier. The place was clean and organized. I would definitely return.

Hi Mike:
I am really glad you enjoyed your stay.

We like vacation rentals that lend themselves well to slow mornings with a lot of sitting and reading. This place suited us well in that regard as we spent probably 36 of the first 40 hours completely indoors, despite the lovely surroundings and waterfront property. The sunroom overlooking the water made it for us. Two things that didn't ruin the trip, but would've been helpful to know: the upstairs residents can be heard when walking around (not loud, just present), and a gentle rumble can be heard as the navy jets run their training routes. Overall, wonderful stay. Would love to return.
This was such a lovely spot! Everything you could possibly need is available, particularly in the kitchen. The wine rack is a particularly nice and knowing touch - we can't be the first people who stopped in Woodinville or the Whidbey wineries on the way up. It's a quick drive over to Coupeville and just a little further to other Whidbey towns. The home space is gorgeous, and the hosts were very clear with all their helpful instructions. I've already recommended this property to friends and would come back in a heartbeat. One note: you can definitely hear people if they're in the studio upstairs. If this would bother you, it's something to consider. It's usually something that bothers me (which is why I mention it) but honestly the space was so lovely and I had such a good time that it didn't bother me at all, even when we slept in well into the morning. This is a lovely home and would meet the needs of anyone looking for a serene seaside getaway.

Thank you for your kind words, Kate.
We put a lot of sound insulation in the ceiling when we remodeled the basement, hoping to block all sound, but will do even more, when we remodel the upstairs in the next year or two.
We had a fantastic stay. The property was exactly like the description and pictures depicted. Communication with the host was easy and responses were quick. Property was clean and we had all of the supplies necessary for our stay. When we stayed there was a “guest” in the upper part of the house. Yes, we could occasionally hear him walking around but it wasn’t anything out of hand and didn’t impact our enjoyment of the property.
Sitting on the sun porch and watching the water, birds and the seal that hangs out in the cove right in front of the property was our favorite activity. We even saw a bald eagle!
The location is perfect. Property is right in the middle of the island and close to both Oak Harbor and Coupeville. Don’t miss Deception Pass Park. Even if you don’t hike, access to the beach is relatively easy and the views from the top of the bridge are amazing.
The only comments I have are that there isn’t a microwave. This didn’t affect our stay at all - just something to note if you are planning on quickly reheating things. Also, bring some bottled water along. I found the water to have a “funny” taste (this could have just been my tastebuds). Again, this didn’t affect our stay and would not deter me from renting here again.
My husband and I both agree we would rent here again and are looking forward to visiting the island again. I’m glad I procrastinated and that the other rentals I was interested in booked up. Debbie’s place was awesome!

Thank you for your kind words. I am glad you enjoyed your stay.
My husband John and I moved to Penn Cove during the Pandemic, and feel we have been transported to a little slice of heaven. We hope you enjoy the place as much as we do.
We travel a fair amount, so there will often be someone else taking care of the property in our absence. I, or the person managing things in my absence are always there to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Why they chose this property
Location, location, location. No nearby neighbors and right on the water in a reserve. A few minute's drive to towns and shopping and also state parks. You can also use the private beach right in front of the studio. Relaxing and calm with a very comfortable interior, it is a wonderful place to unwind from city life.
What makes this property unique
With the waters of Penn Cove being omnipresent, it allows you to unwind and reconnect with the beauty of nature.
