This delightful log cabin is sure to be your perfect mountain getaway. Situated in a quiet wood setting just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, the New River and the towns of Jefferson, West Jefferson and Wilkes, this home is close to all the activities that you may wish to do and see during your vacation. For some winter fun, head to one of our three most popular ski resorts: Appalachian Ski Mtn, Sugar Mtn, or Beech Mtn.

Inside, you will find an open living, kitchen and dining floor plan. With vaulted ceilings, a massive stone gas fireplace and flat screen TV with cable TV, you’ll love cozying up and watching a good movie or sporting event. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you would need to prepare a quick snack or meal. The dining table offers seating for 4.

The primary bedroom features a comfy queen bed, electric fireplace for those cool Carolina evenings and flatscreen TV with cable TV. There’s even a reading nook just off the bedroom with a half bath.

The second bedroom features two twin beds – great for kids or singles. The full bath is next door to the bedroom and is accessible from the hallway. It features a shower/tub combo.

Outside, there is plenty of deck space for grilling out on the gas grill or just enjoying a morning cup of coffee. You will love relaxing and enjoying the sounds of nature as you reconnect.

And for those allergic to pets, this is a pet-free home.

Great little cabin, was spacious enough for us with 2 teen girls. Short drive to grocery store and not to far for visiting downtown West Jefferson and even Boone. Appreciated the assortment of books and puzzles that kept us busy on our rainy day. If coming back to same area, would definitely book this cabin again.

Fantastic cabin for a weekend getaway!

Would absolutely recommend the Edelweiss cabin! Everything was very clean and exactly as shown in the listing photos. The management team for the rental is responsive and friendly as well. Location of the cabin is great - easy to find and only a 15min drive to downtown West Jefferson. We will be coming back for future vacations!

This past weekend we had a friend going to Jefferson to volunteer with the storm recovery efforts and he had nowhere to stay. we were thankful that the cabin was available, and we knew it would be a great place for our friend to stay for the weekend. The realtor team were wonderful to work with. We paid for the weekend and our friend was able to help as a volunteer. A win, win all away around. Thank you!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I had a wonderful stay in this very nice cabin house in the mountains of Jefferson N.C. The house had everything we needed and was clean and well prepared for our visit. If we needed anything, such as a pair of scissors, all we had to do is look in the draws to find it. The tub shower had a very convenient handicap bar to help old folks like us get in and out. The owners thought of pretty much everything to make this a delightful stay. The cabin was convenient to West Jefferson and the stores and shops we needed. We enjoyed some of the local restaurants such as the Winners Cricle and the Plaza Del Sol Mexican restaurant. The rental agency has a pleasant and professional staff, and they were great to work with. We are looking forward to a return visit next year. Thank you!

Quiet Weekend In Woods

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived around 9 PM and the door code wouldn't work. I called the emergency number and they answered and reset the code so we could get in. The listing for the cabin is accurate. Gas fireplace in the living room and electric in the master bedroom. We drove down the mountain a few times and it takes about 45 minutes to get to Wilkesboro. Blue Ridge Parkway mostly closed still due to Hurricane. Very peaceful and safe neighborhood we never encountered another human. Saw a few passing vehicles and that was about it. The tv worked fine with lots of channels. Here are a few things I would recommend upgrading: Smart TV, Non-Stick frying pans, Iron and Microwave. All in all a good stay at a reasonable price. FYI it's two hour drive to Charlotte and Greensboro from cabin just in case you need to attend event at either one of those places.

The kitchen has most of the basics covered, but there are a lot of junk drawers.It was nice that there were books, puzzles and games there.There were quite a few burned out light bulbs and patio had not been cleaned for a long time.
