Location location location!! Place was perfect for a family vacation with young kids. We enjoyed all of the water toys. The place was super cozy with gorgeous views of the lake. Highly recommend.
My boyfriend, our two dogs, and I had a wonderful stay! We thoroughly enjoyed being right on the lake, and taking advantage of the canoe and stand-up paddleboard made it even more memorable. Thank you for a fantastic experience!
Our family (including my parents and my children) enjoyed a rainy, but beautiful and relaxing stay. The cabin was very well decorated and maintained and everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. Even during rainy days we were able to enjoy the screened in porch. The host was very friendly, helpful and prompt. We would definitely love to return!
We had a blast this Feb for girls trip! What a perfect cabin! Great kitchen to cook & had wonderful dinner at the nearby resort. We enjoyed the late evenings with a beautiful bonfire, and enjoyed the hot tub!
We spent 4 nights at this wonderful home. Enjoyed waking up with views of the lake each morning and the wonderful views. There were plenty of places to eat nearby. I do recommend Brothers Steak House. The host was super easy to work with. The house was very clean just as advertised. We will definitely stay again.
The property was better than we expected; the VRBO listing doesnt do it justice. Great activities nearby. We enjoyed mountain biking and hiking at Jack Rabbit trailhead and kayaking right from the lake house. We enjoyed the propert so much that we didnt want to go explore much. Great backyard, dock, and porches to just relax.
We loved our stay and will be back as soon as possible. Corey your the best. We would like to try in the summer and bring our grandchildren. This was a new experience for our new pup Silas he finally managed the stairs on our last day. We also saw a family of sweet deer playing along the water front. Truly a relaxing time and all so accommodating. Thank y’all so much. Carol Lynn
We come up to the mountains every summer and love Lake Chatuge!! We found this wonderful cabin with all the bells and whistles to enjoy the lake life! We used the paddle boards, kayaks and floats everyday on the lake. We especially loved the later afternoon into evening time on the lake then jumped in the hot tub to relax while the fire heated up for s’mores and family laughs! There were life jackets for all sizes available and pumps for the floats. I did bring my electric one so it made it easier. No need to bring your own floats, all different kinds available for use! The house was fully stocked with paper goods as well and extra beach towels incase you didn’t bring them. TV’s in all the rooms . The area where the house is on the lake is not busy with boating traffic which is very nice ,10 minutes to Ingles which is great. Corey was quick to answer if we had a question and very attentive! If you’re looking for a property to fully enjoy the outdoors and lake this is the place for you!
What an amazing stay! We brought our kids and two dogs for fall break and had the best time. The house was super clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. We loved the fire pit in the evenings (lots of places in town to get wood) and spent most of our days down at the dock using the canoe, kayaks, and paddle boards. Don’t forget your fishing gear—we caught bluegill and yellow perch! The host was wonderful and very responsive. We’d 100% stay here again—five stars all the way!!
Our stay at Dancing Bear was fantastic! The property and amenities were exactly as pictured/described and the host was very responsive to all communications. The location was great - convenient to town but far enough to feel remote - on a quiet little road with other beautiful cabins. The cabin was a perfect size for us with nice bathrooms and all kitchen amenities. The grounds were beautiful - plenty of trees, stone walkways, picnic table, hammocks, fire pit, hot tub - all you could ask for. We stayed 2 weeks and had such a great time - fun and relaxing. We used the canoe and kayaks and SUP boards. We hiked, visited beautiful waterfalls, rented a boat on Lake Chatuge (great boating!), went whitewater rafting, visited the little German town of Helen. Lots of action but also plenty of serene moments on the dock, reading in the screen porch, cooking on the grill. It was everything we had hoped and more. Can’t say enough good things about it!
Cozy cabin right on the lake. Location could not be beat. Fire pit beside the water, hot tub for after boating activity. Berry bushes making for fun squirrel and bunny rabbit viewing every day from the perfect screened in porch. We will be back.
The cabin is rustic mountain. The ease of walking to the dock was nice. We parked the fishing boat and our fishing kayaks with no problem. The screened in porch greeted us every morning to enjoy our coffee. We played board game on the open deck every day and s’mores by the fire pit every night. Very peaceful and the lake is surrounded by mountains.
We had a wonderful stay and made so many great memories here! The cabin was peaceful, beautifully landscaped, and surrounded by wildlife. It was the perfect setting to relax and reconnect. Our daughter kept saying it was the best vacation ever, and we all agree. Truly a special place—we’d absolutely come back again!
Cory is a great host! The house had everything we needed and the yard was like a fairy garden! We loved the dock and spent lots of time fishing and sitting by the fire.
We stayed here with our 3 and 5 year olds and had a blast. Corey was a great host - easy, prompt instructions for getting in and getting around with recommendations for what to do in the area. Our kids loved playing on the big porches, in the water, on the dock, and roasting marshmallows at the awesome fire pit. Would definitely recommend!
We enjoyed our stay, it was the perfect size for my husband and I and 2 teen daughters. Easy lake access, and great fire pit and hot tub! All in all a perfect spot to visit the lake.
Let’s just start by saying Corey the host Was spot on in a very timely manner to get back with you if you have an issue And to answer any and all questions. The property, the location the beautiful Lake view all perfect. Take nothing when you go except for yourself and your clothes. Everything you need is just a few miles from town plus Cory has everything in the house you could ever think of or need.. I would highly recommend this location and this host and this property to anyone married ,single or with a family. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back in the spring.
Wow, wow, wow, what a great place!! The views from the house/porch are wonderful. Then you walk out on the dock and it’s an even better view! Perfect fall foliage views. We enjoyed using the kayaks to cruise around on the lake. Our teenage son even fished from the kayaks a little bit while my dad fished from the dock. This cabin is very peaceful, very clean and easy to get too from the main roads! The cabin owner, Corey, communicates very well with you about any questions you may have about the house and area!! We enjoyed our fall trip to this beautiful lake house in the mountains!! We all want to come back in the summer to enjoy it all over again. Thanks again Corey for sharing your house!!
If you’re looking for a beautiful lakefront spot, with stunning views, privacy, and close proximity town, this home is the one! The house was cozy, immaculate, and provided everything we needed for a lovely girls’ trip.
Great host too. We’ll definitely be back!
Great location with mountain views and awesome house. Fishing off of the dock was very good and the downtown had plenty or restaurants. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing also. Would definitely stay again!
We had the best time here and Corey was an amazing host! Pictures do not do this place justice at all. The small details they thought of to make our stay better went above and beyond any other rental I’ve booked. If you are looking for a relaxing stay with beautiful views and all of the comforts of home book it now! You’ve found the best one on the lake!
