If you want solitude with no noise from neighbors or cars, this is the place. View was excellent. Host, dogs, and farm animals a delight. Lots of hiking without driving somewhere. Big fireplace. Price was fair except having to pay a fee for VRBO'S service. Otherwise the price would be excellent.

My son and I rented this beautiful home as a fishing trip base and it was perfect. Martin is a great host and very nice person. We loved the cows, goats, horses and dogs. The stars so bright are amazing off the deck. Thanks once again Martin.

The best VRBO I've ever stayed in hands down! The Hosts were friendly and kind to share their property for the weekend, and let us explore the trails around the grounds. Amazing views, clean house, and everything you could ever ask for! Would definitely stay again in the future.

The chalet is charming. Plenty of room and very comfortable. The hosts are very nice and were concerned about my arriving towards dark. So they had all the lights on for me. Was very welcoming. Would recommend anyone to stay here. Felt like home.

Loved the mountain view and watching the cows. A getaway from all the electronics, no internet or cell service but you're only a couple of miles to access if you really need it. Hosts were very nice.

Absolute wonderful stay! A great way to unplug and relax. The owner Martin is very attentive and an excellent host. This serves as a great central point to explore the areas many waterfalls and hiking trails. I highly recommend this property. We will be back again!

We had a great time on our trip and loved the stay here, with the mountain views, the trails on the property, and the livestock wandering about. If you need WiFi to survive, WCU’s campus library is a short drive down the mountain— but we suggest taking the chance to enjoy not having internet/cell service! The place was clean, family-friendly, and the hosts were ready to make you feel at home. We’d love to come back in the winter and make use of the fireplace.

Could not have enjoyed it more.Remote, quiet, inviting, relaxing.Hosts were great, beds and furniture were comfortable. Kitchen was stocked, house was clean. Everything was easy to access. 10 minute hike to the gazebo is a MUST. Take a book and water and spend the afternoon in those porch swings.

Perfect getaway with amazing hospitality!We had such a great stay. The house was beautifully kept and the location was perfect, but what really stood out was the hosts’ hospitality. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It felt like staying with friends who genuinely care about your experience. Highly recommend!
