Cowpens Beach

Overall impression is great. The location is wonderful, we have stayed in the neighborhood for several years in several different houses. This house needs some minor updating and cleaning of HVAC grilles etc. We all know beach houses are tough to maintain! Overall great stay!

Marsa’s Place

The house is in a beautiful location. The multilayered porches give you amazing views of the creek and ocean, we just wish there were more usable rocking chairs on each. The house is dated but is fully stocked. The air vents rattle and are moldy. We were very disappointed that the shared dock did not allow for us to use for kayaking. The house next door monopolized the dock the entire week. The cargo elevator does not work as expected. We really liked the house for the most part and loved the location. We would potentially think about staying again if the dock was indeed shared and usable.

We appreciate your comments about the porch seating and are currently inspecting all existing chairs. We’ll also be discussing the addition of more comfortable options with the homeowner to ensure the outdoor spaces can be fully enjoyed. Regarding the shared dock, we’re truly sorry this impacted your stay. This is the first time we’ve received a report of limited access in the two years we’ve managed Marsa’s Place, but we understand how frustrating that must have been. We’ve reached out to the neighboring homeowner—who rents their home independently—to make sure future guests are also aware that the dock is shared and should remain accessible to all. We also want to note that the 2nd-floor HVAC vents are scheduled to be replaced on Friday, June 6, as part of our continued maintenance efforts. As for the cargo elevator, it was tested prior to your arrival and again after your stay, with no issues reported by our team. However, should you experience any difficulties with it in the future, we encourage you to reach out—we’re always happy to send someone by to assist during your stay. Great location

This property was located in a safe, gated community with a wonderful view of the ocean in the front and the low country in the back. We fished off the dock catching redfish and sea trout. We even had a dolphin come visit us as we fished. It was a .8 mile walk to the beach. It was a fantastic beach piled high with shells. We walked 7 miles along the beach one day which was so beautiful and worthy of some notable shelling. It was located close to restaurants, grocery stores and shops. The house itself was quite dated with 1980’s decor. We didn’t mind because it was spacious, equipped with everything to prepare meals and overall was clean. The property management company was good at communicating everything and were easy to deal with and offered friendly service.
