Enjoy the relaxing Island life from this wonderful condo. This condo is directly on the beach with great ocean views all around. Ocean and pool views right from your living room balcony.This open concept condo has a private balcony, while the master bedroom overlooks the pool and the Atlantic Ocean, the guest room overlooks the ocean and Long key bridge. You can either have a quiet, relaxing time by the pool or beach, or stay active by using all the amenities this resort has to offer. With a large heated swimming pool and tennis courts only, a walk or elevator ride away. Or even fishing, diving, snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking all at your finger tips right in your back yard! Besides all the amenities this resort has to offer, there is plenty to do if you want to get off the island and take a cruise, with Key West just over an hour away. There’s plenty to do between here and there, so makes for a great centralized location of the keys. The famous Islamorada attractions, and the top-notch charter boats, or ideal snorkeling trips. There is also plenty of historic sites nearby. This secret spot of the keys used to attract certain Presidents, and famous authors such as Ernest Hemingway, and Zane Grey, who used to visit Long Key Fishing Camp. Duck key is the next key south, which is a very short drive to marathon, which has endless dining experiences. The Long keys have always been known as very private. With only 32 units at this wonderful Caribbean style resort, located right on a white sandy beach. With cabanas on the beach for an evening cocktail or evening swim.• There is a marina in Layton for short term boat launching and dock space. Miami Dade Airport or Key West Airport are almost equal in distance.

Long Key Condo

Arrival instructions to locate the key to the property need to be updated. They were not where we were told and the unit was not numbered. Upon entry we noticed the place was dirty and had not been cleaned, bed wasn’t made and the ceiling in the guest room was flaking off onto the twin beds in guest room. There was little to no cleaning supplies and absolutely no toilet paper or paper towels to be had. Contacted host the next day and she was very apologetic and offered to send the cleaning crew in and refunded our first nights stay. I also stated I could not have my guest stay in the guest room without the ceiling being fixed. They sent their handyman over to take a look and we never heard from him or host again. I had to cancel on my guests. This place needs some overall attention, also the ice maker is broken and the kitchen faucet needs to be replaced. The lower balcony( off master bedroom) furniture is unusable/ broken. With a little updating and TLC this could be the perfect getaway. Also be aware the listing mentions an elevator, there is NO elevator in this building so if you have trouble with stairs it might be an issue. There is 17 steps to get to the door and then another 15 upon entering to get to kitchen. On the good side, the condo community was very friendly, the grounds, beach and pool were beautiful. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. The condo is close to restaurants and grocery stores and activities.
