Nice clean house. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Golf cart was nice to have. Only complaint is location. Expected it to be closer to lighthouse area of island. We did have a great time tho.
Property was as described. Kitchen was well stocked. Great location between bay and ocean. Great asset to have golf cart. Back deck with great views of bay and screened porch on side. Would definitely stay here again.
The property overall was everything we expected and more. The owners have kept everything in excellent order and have made some significant upgrades as well. We had a great time and will be back in the future.
I really liked the layout of this house and would love to stay with family. Having everyone on the same level with a central area is nice. Lots of deck space. The yard could use some tender loving care. The sunset were amazing.
Although our stay was cut short with the hurricane, the house was wonderful! Great location, convenient to everything, clean, well stocked with everything you need. Very thankful for the hospitality of the owners.
Highly recommend.
This was our second stay at Island Fun. We visit St George every year and Island Fun has everything we need to make our visit relaxing and enjoyable. Lots of beach gear, bikes and having a golf cart is awesome. The house was updated since our stay in 2022 and looks great. We love St George and we have loved staying at Island Fun!
Renting was easy! We were a bit nervous since we had to pick a new rental due to our usual rented was booked. We enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to visit the island again.

Overall really nice
The house was super nice, and the amenities were fantastic. Everything worked like it was supposed to. The floors were not really clean. The only grill was a Hibachi type grill, which no one really knew what to do with. We bought a charcoal grill and left it for future tenants who wanted a grill that they could actually use.
We were in the area for a wedding, staying 3 nights. It rained, monsoon-style for 2 of the days. The home was well stocked and very comfortable. There was plenty of room for 5 adults. The wrap around porch was a wonderful place to enjoy the views. It was located very close to either side of the island waters and not far from the local town. Unfortunately the golf cart electrical got wet in the storm and was not useful. We would stay here again should the need arise.
Location was excellent. Internet / WiFi was very intermittent - available less than 50% of time (despite rebooting the router multiple times per day). Not the place to stay if you need to be connected.
Enjoyed the house and amenities. Brought a dog, no signs of pet stains/smells. Had to reach out to the property manager about a small question and had a quick response. Another review mentioned lack of kitchenware. I thought there was more than enough! I would recommend this property to anyone!
We had a great time at island fun! The place was spacious and smartly decorated and clean. The property owner was very responsive when we had an issue with the golf cart and got it corrected as quickly as possible and got us a loaner in the meantime. The beds were very comfortable - always an important consideration in my book. The kids loved using the kayak and paddle board in the bay. Everything was truly great. My only “very small” recommendation would be a couple of better knives for food prep and a couple of larger mixing/serving bowls in the kitchen. We will definately stay here again!
This house was great. We spent so much time on the screened in porch. It was awesome to have the kayak, paddle board, golf cart and bikes. Tons of little extras like beach toys for the baby, pots and pans and a charcoal grill - we cooked almost every night and we flew from Michigan so there was not space for sand toys. Everyone had their own space but also the table could accommodate all of us coming together for meals and card games. We would definitely stay there again!!
5 high school classmates who graduated in 1974 got together for a pre-50 year reunion gathering. St. George Island and surrounding areas offered a variety of activities that entertained all. The house was a short walk to view either the sunrise or beautiful sunsets. The group found sufficient kitchen equipment to cook 2 meals each day. The common space was great for group activities. Would use again but would hope it was a little cleaner.

Kitchen
Poorly equipped. Old utensils. Needs regular simple coffee pot.
Well situated on a largely unspoiled island community, this property is close to all one can absorb on St. George. View the bay from the back deck, walk two minutes to the bay for an unimpeded winter sunset, or take a ten minute walk to the Gulf beach ( three minutes in the provided golf cart). Arrive with an "Island state of mind" and you will be pleased, no doubt. Amenities such as large grocery stores, shopping of any sort, pharmacy, or non-restaurant entertainment are all across two bridges to Appalchicola.
For quiet relaxation, especially in winter, this island and property can't be beat.
We loved the location, nice neighbors, short walk to the bay, and short drive to the beach. The house is nice. Very roomy. Our only complaint was that the floors were covered with door hair. I had to sweep and vacuum before we could put my grandson down to crawl. There were dirty dishes in the cabinets. After we got over those issues we were fine and had a great time.
We enjoyed our stay despite some rainy weather. The house was exactly as described and clean. The kids enjoyed the golf cart the most. My only criticism is that you really need to bring everything to this house - there are no beach towels, one spatula, one cookie sheet, no salt/pepper/spices and exactly enough bath towels for people. I knew this ahead of time because I asked the owners, so I was prepared but I normally wouldn't have thought to bring so much.

Hurricane and Bad Location
Property has great potential but has not been kept up. The back is a swamp. Bikes and kayaks are left outside in weather and are a jumbled, rusted mess. Kayaks seats are torn up. Also owners do not allow refunds on cancellations which tied our hands when we saw hurricane forecasted. We left early and went to east coast of Florida. Will make a better choice next time. You can find a better home for the same money. Photos show much better days.

Disappointing 4th of July stay
It was not advertised well. It was like staying in a college apartment instead of a vacation home. The details were what really made the house very poor. For example, there was only a roll of toilet paper provided in each bathroom, no propane in the grill tank, a paddle for the kayak was broken, light switches in the house didn’t turn on anything, and the house just needed some TLC from the owners. The walls were scratched up in many places, spider webs in corners, etc. The outdoor table and chairs on the porch left paint on your clothes and legs. There were no doors on the closets leaving two of the bedrooms looking unfinished. The yard had not been cleaned or touched in weeks of not months. The outdoor space was messy and beach toys, hoses, and other items were scattered throughout the underneath portion of the house. Not what we expected at all. Overall, a very disappointing house to stay in. We won’t book there again.
This was our first trip to St. George Island and we rented Island Fun beach house so that we could bring the family dog and go somewhere not too crowded. The house had everything we needed; it was a bit “well loved” and could use a little spruce here and there, but it fit our needs just fine. The bedrooms and layout were great and we enjoyed cooking meals in the well-stocked kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and the covered front porch came in handy as we ended up having a lot of rain. The house is in close walking distance to the bay and within a few blocks of the beach. The golf cart was necessary as we had a senior citizen with us, but the one suggestion we have is to get the back step and seat back on it fixed—stepping on the back step to sit on the back seat results in the step caving inward and making one lose their balance. We made it work but just a note for the future! We enjoyed using the bikes and kayak. All in all it was a great stay and we’d go back in a minute!
