Perfect Getaway

We were only in town for a couple of days and wished we could have stayed longer. The unit was clean and well stocked and the views were amazing! Step out of the back door and you are on the soft warm sand.

Great Location

We had a great stay over Spring Break. The property is steps away from the beach. The property had complimentary chair and umbrella setup which we enjoyed with our cup of coffee each morning. The house came with a Kehrig express coffee maker, blender, Microwave, two smart TVs, nice dishes, nice pots and pans, cutting boards etc. Wish they would have had chefs knife but there were a few steal knives which we used to cut limes for our drinks. The property comes with plenty of bath towels, a few rolls of TP, soap, and dishwasher pods. We loved our stay and will definitely come back if property is available the next time we visit Destin. Five stars from this Wisconsin family of 4.

Very Iffy Listing

I have a couple opinions about this property. The location of this house is perfect. The house is located directly on the beach and it’s an ocean view which is the only thing that made this property worth it. My biggest issue with this house was the heavy smell of mildew/mustiness as soon as we entered the property. This was our first trip to Florida, and I know it gets humid but the smell was overwhelming. The stairs are carpeted with very old and stained carpet that also smelled unpleasant. The smell lessened upstairs, but was still present and I noticed mold near the vents in the master bedroom and bathroom. The house wasn’t up to my standards of clean. There were crumbs on the kitchen counter and stove when we arrived. There were a couple places in the kitchen where the tile flooring is broken. Broken blinds. The nightstands in the master bedroom had water rings and sticky residue. The lamps in the master bedroom were also missing the lightbulbs for whatever reason. There are two green chairs at the end of the bed in the master that are in awful shape but the picture shows them being nice but they’re torn up and scratched all over. They also only provided us one roll of toilet paper in the whole rental. The master bathroom has a double shower which was nice, but there’s noticeable mold near the vents in the shower. We also felt uneasy bc the lock is one of those chain locks and it’s very loose and the chains are on the verge of unhinging from the next loop.
