This Seawall home is a great place to stay when exploring the quiet side of Acadia National Park. After a day of hiking and exploring it’s nice to return to a quiet, comfortable home.
Great location for hiking in Acadia. The house was clean, kitchen well stocked. We had plenty of room for 2 couples. The backyard deck & patio table was perfect. Washer & dryer were a big asset. Very quiet location, but close to Acadia, Bar Harbor. Good restaurants in the area too.
Beautiful home! Loved the location. Was able to get up and see the sunrise without having to drive but 5-6 minutes to Seawall. House was as described and very clean. Had everything we needed. Loved being able to hit garage button and pull into garage before unloading each night. Host responded quickly to all questions. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a lovely week and loved the quiet location of Southwest Harbor. This was a great spot for hiking and being near Acadia while also popping into Bar Harbor. We appreciated the room A/C units as we arrived during a heat wave. Our family of 5 would stay again!
Amy is a great host! We really enjoyed our stay when we visited Acadia National Park. The house is well-decorated, spacious, clean and comfortable! The place is quite and convenient. We would like to stay in this house again for our next visit.
Lovely home in a semi private area on the quiet side of Acadia. Deer in the yard and surrounding area every day. The home was immaculate and had nice amenities! Very easy communication with the host! Would love to come again sometime!
Excellent location—close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. This was such a comfortable house to go back to after full days in the Park. So clean, fully stocked kitchen, laundry machines, comfortable beds and living room, nice towels…We highly recommend this place!
We enjoyed our stay at the house close to Acadia. The house was clean and included all the basics, towels, shampoo, soap, etc, and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances and some basic spices and cooking spray. The house was clean and beds comfortable. The house was decorated nicely and felt like you were visiting a friend versus a typical rental. It is close to Acadia and also has a rocky beach within walking distance or a very short drive. There are nice restaurants within 15 minutes or Bar Harbor is 30 minutes if you can find parking, which we couldn't, so we skipped Bar Harbor. We liked the Upper Deck for food and view, people also recommended Beal's but when we went on a Friday night the line was too long and no parking. If you go to Beal's and park along road, park in designated spots, we saw people getting ticketed for illegal parking. I would recommend this house for a visit to Acadia.
House was perfect! Beautifully decorated, comfortable and cozy. Wildlife everywhere - deer, turkeys, birds and ducks! Great location on the quieter side of Mount Desert Island. Very convenient to Acadia and everything else we wanted to visit in the area. We highly recommend.
There were no extra supplies in the house(paper towels, napkins etc. ) dishwasher didn’t work. It was stated that is was to be replaced after we left. As the grill doesn’t work. The wash machine it full of mold

It is unfortunate for all involved that the dishwasher decided to call it quits upon your arrival. If I had any control over such things, how wonderfully stress free my life would be. I tried to make it right, I did. I ran to the house the minute I received your message and attempted to remedy the situation. I purchased a new dishwasher the very next morning, but the plumbers schedule is also completely out of my control.
I purchased all the paper products your family could ever need to help alleviate your wife's time at the kitchen sink. Paper plates, bowls, cups, utensils...and the offer to do the last two days of dishwashing for you upon your departure. My very last effort, with no prompting from you, was to refund a portion of your stay, in hopes it would bring some joy back into your life. It is abundantly clear that my last ditch effort didn't work either.
And sir, you really didnt need to add the untruths at the end, you truly didn't. You already had all of us with the dishwasher debacle. The rest is overkill, really.
I hope this message finds you happy and well now that you are home and all of this is behind you.
Take care.
Everything was as promised in the property description and in notes by recent guests. The property is in a wonderful location for those interested in visiting Acadia National Park and nearby towns. It is comfortable, well maintained, well appointed, and welcoming. Our host, Amy, made it so easy for our group of four to check in and out, and to fully relax and enjoy our time together by the coast. The kitchen is set up with plenty of prep space and a full set of cookware items to support an enjoyable dining experience. We enjoyed regular sightings of deer neighbors (including 2 playful fawns), hummingbirds, and all sorts of birdlife around the home. Enjoy a short walk (and even shorter drive) to Seawall with a perfectly peaceful start or end to your day!

Great place for our family 5mins from the national Park
Amy’s place was the perfect relaxing spot on the quiet side of Acadia. We loved the comfy beds and proximity to Wonderland Trail, Bass Lighthouse, and Charlotte’s lobster pound. Across from Charlotte’s was a perfect spot to watch the sunrise over the water, away from the Cadillac Mountain crowds.
This is such a serene property. It was clean, quiet, and so relaxing. We even got to see about 20 deer through the window. It’s not super close to a lot of restaurants but definitely a restful getaway!
