(both being renovated) It has 7 fireplaces and a great room with bar. A large music room with a circa 1850 box piano. My wife and i were married here last year with over 100 guests. We stayed with extended family for a wedding happening at Venue Bouchon. It was perfect. 4 miles away. It handled all the needs. Mike was awesome strongly recommend to anyone with an eye for history or a group get together
We enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious and comfortable. Couple minor suggestions, I would recommend a couple pieces of cook wear ie Pyrex bake wear be added, revamp of outside seating, labeling light switches. No complaints.
The house and property are amazing! So much history. The house had everything we needed, was clean and spacious. Perfect location to the wedding venu 5 min away.
We had lived in Maryland about 30 years ago and were going back to celebrate mom's 90th birthday. The 19th Century Mansion/Farm House, was a great place for people to spread apart and at the same time visit and enjoy one another. Lots of history to explore in the areas as well.Mike was an AWESOME host! His kindness and willingness to help and provide was great! What a kind gentleman! We really had a GREAT time!
Family reunion & birthday get together. We were 11 people slept very comfortably, it is a huge Victorian house so be prepared for some drafty spots in the winter. Other than taking a bit to get warmed up we had a great time well appointed kitchen. Well supplied with towels for the crew we were. Really had a great time!
The house was even more than we were hoping for. Large enough for everyone to have space and still be together. It was quiet and a good place to relax after sightseeing in
This was a great experience for our family coming in from out of town. A large house with plenty of bedrooms for large family and friends. Beds were comfortable and lots of rooms to hang out in. Very interesting old house with lots of history.
This property is not your every-day historic brick farm house. And there's not enough room here to describe all the facets that made this such a special and unique stay. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful and we enjoyed coffee outside. The house is very large and the owner has maintained the historic charm while modernizing the bathrooms, game room and kitchen. There is EVERY appliance you could ever dream of using in the kitchen as well as tons of serving ware and pots & pans. The beds were very comfortable, there were loads of towels for our party of 11, and endless hot water. The host was gracious and communicated well and answered questions timely. Our family made so many memories during this stay.
We were having a family trip to experience Gettysburg and DC. Our stay here added to our experience; the history and grandness amazed us all. Michael is a great host! We would highly recommend a stay here and my family has talked about possibly going back again sometime we loved the house so much.
We had a historical themed gals weekend and this place fit the bill perfectly. The building was comfortable and clean and quite magnificent. The owner was very hospitable and easy to communicate with. We had a great time!
We stayed at this historic mansion with several of our families from Michigan for our son’s wedding. Everyone was amazed at the history this home holds. This home is so large you could literally get lost exploring, plenty of room for everyone. Mike was a very responsive host.
Family here for event. The mansion was the perfect mix of space, informality and comfort. I had people from 5 different families and we were able to visit and still have private time.
The property owner allowed me to rent the place to use as a location to get ready the day of my wedding. My entire bridal party stayed the night and we had a wonderful time. The historical charm of the property made for amazing photos! Mike was very responsive and was very hospitable! Would highly recommend, especially to those who appreciate history!
We enjoyed this unique property which added wonderful memories to a large family gathering in Westminster. I only wish that we would have been at the house more over our rental period.
The property delivered on its promises.

There was plenty of room for our entire group of 9 to spread out. The beds were comfortable, the space was good for conversations and dining. We came during a cold snap, and the house was hard to heat, but we worked with the host to make things more comfortable. Also, it warmed up from record cold of 11 degrees Fahrenheit to 30, which made a difference.
The house is so impressive - if you are a history buff this is the place for you! If the owner is willing, it's worth getting a tour from him. I was fortunate enough to get a tour - fascinating history and the subtle modernizations that have been done to maintain comfort.
Beds were very comfortable, room temperatures were adjustable, house was spotless. I would definitely recommend this mansion to anyone that appreciates history.
My son was getting married at a venue that was close by. I had family coming from Massachusetts and Canada but I wanted us to be together. It was a beautiful home. Very clean, tons of character! The beds were comfortable. The host was a great communicator and very much available during our stay. My mother absolutely loved the house!
Very large accommodations for several families. Bedrooms are huge! Fresh eggs from the property chickens every day. Check out the summer kitchen outbuilding with fireplace!
This historic property is a wonderful place for a group getaway. Very clean and well kept. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms are almost brand new. Kitchen is well equipped and gathering spaces are abundant. Host was super responsive and provided us the perfect place for a mini college reunion. Can't wait to go back again.
We loved our stay in the mansion! There are so many antiques in the house. Michael was very accomodating and helpful in so many ways. My daughter loved feeding the chickens and we all enjoyed the fresh eggs each morning.
Location is great. We went to gettysburg and also Cunningham falls
Definitely plan to visit again!
