Redone cottage w/hottub walking to everything downtown!
Very private home with lots of room to spread out. This home has a large movie space and the kitchen is amazing. Great back yard for entertaining and evenings by the fire. Walk to the lake, hike Tubbs Hill and sip on a cocktail by the resort before you stroll back to the home.

Location was great! The house suited us. The room that had the twin confused us online as it was a trundle. That’s not listed but ended up working well for the kids. The hot tub was nice. Bring shoes as we had to walk through the falling leaves. The only bad part was the neighbors smoked pot while we were in it.bring your own pillows. The ones there are flat! Overall we liked the place and it gave a place to stay as a family.
We rented this Vrbo 9/14-17/23 for a family wedding. Day 1 no one showered. Next day (wedding) my daughter a bridesmaids showered in the MBR. Shower was very slow draining. W/in minutes others were using ½ bath & upstairs bath for toilet needs. ½ bath would not flush & started coming back up w/ sewage. 1 of us sitting on couch in basement when water started coming through the ceiling (eventually sewage also) We moved furniture got buckets & worked to save all we could. Raw sewage now coming up in the MB shower. Contacted Vrbo owner, they arrived w/ a snake which did nothing. Owner made sarcastic comments about someone not knowing how to flush. Plumber was called & owners left w/ no plumber eta. We waited for the plumber, scrambling w/ the other 6 of us showering in a basement BR on different pipe line. Plumber arrived & said it was tree roots. Fixed the issue & left. By now we had lost the morning & part of the afternoon. Missed out on wedding brunch & family pictures. No apologies by the owners. We had to ask for them to come & clean the sewage mess in 2 bathrooms, they did not offer. We asked for compensation, they refused. I went through Vrbo for mediation. Vrbo refunded me the $129 fee they charge & spoke w/ owners but can’t force them to do the right thing. Next step arbitration. I noticed the people renting after us posted the owners told them that previous renters flooded the house & repairs hadn’t been completed. Not very honest.

Coeur d'Alene Visit
I checked-in 9/23/23 and immediately sent a message to the host with concerns - her reply was that a previous guest caused a flood in the upstairs bedroom and the contractor did not complete the necessary repairs. The home can be a delight to stay at once the two bedrooms upstairs are finished and a few security issues completed in the basement. The main floor is beautifully decorated and furnished. The kitchen has plenty of room to prepare meals and gather with family and friends. The living room is a relaxing space to enjoy the fireplace and watch TV. Both bedrooms on the main level have comfortable beds and the master bedroom shower is absolutely the best, with a huge shower head and plenty of water pressure. Upstairs it was discovered that the bedroom closet space was not finished. Baseboards were not attached and a storage area door above the closets was an open space with exposed insulation (in both bedrooms). The bathroom was teeny tiny with no place to put our shower necessities. While checking out the basement, one of my family members slipped, as a piece of flooring on the bottom step was loose and came off. The basement is spacious with a very nice family room and a very large TV. The safety issues were a space in the ceiling for a smoke detector that had exposed wiring. There were no smoke detectors upstairs. It was a little concerning to sleep in a home with no smoke detectors. Also, in the basement an air duct opening was openly exposed with no vent cover.
We rented this house because my daughter was getting married on Coer d'Alene. My husband, myself, one of my daughters, my son and his girlfriend stayed her together. Everyone had their privacy, but the house also has gathering areas, like the living room, kitchen and theater room. This house has character, everything you need, updated appliances. What i would call the master on the 1st floor has a shower to die for! Location is so close to everything Couer d'Alene had to offer. The property owner was great. I would stay here again if i came back to the area.
We had a good stay but planned on cooking several meals, but the kitchen had very minimal dishes for a house that sleeps ten. For example, only one wine glass and one large bowl. Only a couple of pans. We were also disappointed that we didn’t have any control over the heat/ air flow. There was a Nest on the wall that was not on. We were hoping to use the hot tub but decided not to since it was very cloudy and smelled bad. The movie room was a very nice feature! Beds were comfortable and the house was clean and athletically pleasing.
Great experience with friendly, supportive owners. House is within walking distance to downtown and has easy freeway access. Lots of usable space inside.
The house was a great location for our family traveling from Portland to Canada and we stopped here to visit Silverwood on our way. The house is very spacious and had lots of room for multiple families to spread out! Nicely decorated, comfortable rooms, and overall great time!
We really liked the home especially the kitchen.
The sleeping arrangements worked out great.
The location was ideal for access to downtown CDA and for the hiking trails on Tubs Hill. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would consider renting the Vrbo again.
We had a nice time at your property. It had plenty of space, beds and bathrooms. I would stay again and recommend it to others.
I also would recommend one thing- your bathroom showers need smaller shower heads.
Had a wonderful stay at the house with some family from New Jersey as we drove over from Seattle. Cannot say enough about the house from top to bottom. We enjoyed every inch of the house and every minute of our stay. The kitchen is roomy enough for us to commiserate and laugh and not being on top of each other. However, the beds were a little hard and the shower towels are a little too small. Thank you for your hospitality.
The house itself is newly updated and nice! Plenty of bedrooms/beds for large groups. Hot tub was a fun addition. This would be a 5 star review, yet the owners tried to charge us $175 for a pillow we didn’t break and for a plastic toy. They refused to believe or listen to us. We also have VRBO listings and I would never treat a guest this way. We’ve always had 5 star reviews from places we’ve stayed at, so I assure you we did not destroy their property. The house was left in immaculate condition. Beware of staying here, you may be charged for extras! Thankfully VRBO took our side and we didn’t have to pay :).
Nicely renovated property, not too far from downtown. Could use a deep clean with some dusty areas and the backyard outdoor furniture being unusable with dirt and dog hair. An outdoor table would have been a bonus. Beds comfortable, high chair and pack and play were a necessity for us. Kitchen could use a few more items, including more towels.
We had the best weekend at this beautiful property. The hosts were beyond amazing, from the second we booked until the second we left. I got very prompt responses to the questions I asked prior as well as a few that came up during our stay. The house itself is ADORABLE. We had 3 teenagers and 4 adults. Tons of space and room throughout the house and the backyard outside area/front porch were perfect for coffee drinking in the morning and hanging out at night. The kitchen is phenomenal! It’s location is perfect for getting downtown! Highly recommend and we all said we would rebook it for an annual soccer tournament we attend every year. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!!!!
We rented this property for a weekend family get together. Although the weather didn’t accommodate for fully enjoying the outdoor activities that Couer d’ Alene offers, this home was perfect to spend time with the family - cooking, playing games, and enjoying eachother’s company. The interior of the home has been completely renovated with modern (very modern) fixtures and beautifully designed. There was plenty of private sleeping areas to accommodate 4 couples and a toddler very comfortably. The kitchen is amazing!! Good time had by all.
