We loved this quiet home set in the desert. Regular wild animal sightings and lovely views into the desert. The game arcade was a fun bonus for the hot afternoons. The house was very comfortable and had everything needed for a lovely stay. The host was responsive and helpful. It was our favorite VRBO on our Arizona trip. Was close to lots of good hiking and the park. Perfect!
Excellent! Has everything you need in a cool setting.
This place is outstanding. Probably one of the best appointed homes we have ever stayed in. Awesome location that is private and secluded, yet close enough to alot of fun.
We love this houses location. 20 minutes from the city with a very rural feel. This is our third stay and it was great as usual. Very peaceful, nice home. Well equipped kitchen. Wildlife viewing, if you're lucky. Plenty of room for a family of four.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Quite, gorgeous Sonoran Desert setting. Very clean and comfortable throughout. Ideal for our group of 4 (two couples) or up to 6. Incredibly well stocked kitchen. Great communications with host. Excellent, overall.
We loved this property! Perfect location for us, very well stocked, very comfortable, perfect size home for us, and we would highly recommend it to others!
Great property, surrounded by desert fauna and flora! Super quiet area, and around 15 to 20 minutes to supermarkets, restaurants, etc. and even closer to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum and Saguaro National Park. The house itself was really nice and comfortable, private with lots of windows. Would definitely love to stay here again!
Located in a quiet area next to Saguaro National Park. Fantastic locale and made you feel like a local. Fast wireless internet. Clean kitchen and bathrooms. Well maintained. Would definitely stay here again.
This property is very clean. Bathrooms and kitchen were especially spotless. Excellent, prompt communication with the host. We loved the peace and quiet of the home’s location and yet it is close to the national park and museum. Easy drive to more amenities. Highly recommend staying at this comfortable, clean, private home.
The house is comfortable roomy and open to views of mountains, wildlife with fresh air throughout. The location is private and quiet, conveniently located for hiking in the Saguaro NP West as well as Tucson Mountain Park and touring the AZ-Sonora Desert Museum. The kitchen is well equipped, bright and sunny for meal prep and eating as well as the house being the same with lots of natural light.A great plus that the host was readily accessible to questions regarding the accommodations. A 2-wk stay went by all too quickly!
Was there for work but nights were peaceful and the house was really clean and nice. It would have been nice if we could bring down the temp on the thermostat around 67 (cold helps me sleep). Other than that it was great, would recommend.
Lovely spacious home right down the road from the National Park and Desert Museum. Tucson just a short 20 minute drive. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, garage to park our car, secluded setting. There was even a cooler in the house that we used daily! The WiFi was having issues and the owner was very responsive. We highly recommend this property!!
We enjoy spending part of winter at this home at the edge of the Saguaro Desert close to hiking trails. It is about 30 minutes from the city and the amenities of city life which is why we choose this site…we get to the Farmer’s Markets and restaurants and grocery stores by planning our trips into the city.
The home has the amenities we want and is well stocked. The internet access was super this year which we need since we tend to do some virtual work while here. We will stay again!
This property is an excellent location for hiking in the park, only minutes away from many hikes and only 30 minutes from Tucson. The property has a wonderful master bedroom that is large and has a desk from which I could work while there. The kitchen is well equipped. We only used the master bedroom and the bed there was great. There are two other bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds. There is a double garage, outdoor gas grill and outdoor table and chairs from which we watched the sunset each evening with saguaro cacti in the foreground and mountains in the background. We had excellent, prompt responses from the owner. We have stayed two years now and hope to come back.

Beautiful and quiet!
The house is lovely, perfect size for family of six. Location was so peaceful and close to all the places we wanted to visit. Unfortunately the memory foam mattresses was not our style, so sleeping was uncomfortable. My hubby sweat so much that he ended up on the floor on the available air mattress. Kids loved it. Toys for my five year old. Nice outside area fenced in. No neighbors around. It was all about the location. Desert museum, Old Tucson, and the Saguaro National Park are all in that area. Kids loved it all. Shopping for groceries in Tucson is 30 minutes away. But drive careful on that road, very narrow and unsafe.

Thank you so much for your review! I am sorry to hear that your husband did not like the memory foam mattress. I can sympathize. I dislike certain kinds of beds also. We have chosen modern memory foam mattresses for the house because traditional spring mattresses lack durability, are not hygienic, and because so many people prefer a supportive memory foam mattress. This is the standard customers expect in 2018 and I get a lot of compliments that the newer bed is very comfy. I’m glad your husband was able to locate and use our bonus air mattress. We have tried to think of everything! There is a ceiling fan in the master bedroom if needed and also a central AC unit which was not used.
We are so proud of the location also! The property has a million dollar view. The entire area is scenic to the max, including the breath-taking scenic road that you probably came in on from the downtown area. Gates Pass is one of the most scenic destinations in Arizona, like a mind-blower. This pass is located 15 minutes from the house in the Saguaro National Park, has millions of visitors a year and is extremely safe and well maintained. There is also three other roads into the city which have very flat and wide pathways in which are all safe to drive.
A major supermarket is within 25mins. However, there is a gas station and two small market stores only 10 mins away incase anything was forgotten.
Great location.,quiet...dark..isolated. Home is located in a very rural area of Tucson.
Home is a nice place to stay for 2 people..as long as you don’t need any Internet,,,service there is poor at best. By no means is this a 5 star property just for this severe shortcoming.
Kitchen has antiquated furnishings and kitchenware. Some scratched up,,,other dirty. Appliances just average.
Bedrooms are furnished adequately but poorly lit. Furnishings dated but clean.
1 tv in this home that sleeps 6. Living room is ok but also marginally lit.
Direct tv service there is fully on the cheap.. just broadcast channels and the QVC. Forget CNN CNBC Golf Fox etc. Owner very cheap in this ...fitting other aspects of this house.
Other properties in the area are a better value. I won’t rent
here again.
I complied with all property rules..paid full amounts. Left the house in fine shape,

Upgrades have been made! Our first contact with John was a call where he demanded the password to some of our equipment without explaining why he needed it. He snapped at us on the phone as we tried to work out what we could help with. His rudeness was shocking to say the least. The same night at 11pm he texted to insist we contact our ISP regarding internet service issues, which we did. They informed us that John had 16 devices connected, and this was the source of the issue. Odd considering the rental agreement was for two people. Despite this, we permanently upgraded the internet service (enough for 5 HD streams or 10 regular streams). There was never an acknowledgement about this upgrade or thank-you from him just another complaint about something else that just was not good enough for him. Our every contact with John was condescending and rude. His comments regarding the property are simply untrue. The kitchen has a brand new table set purchased this year. There is a mix of functioning older and newer pots and pans to choose from. It is better equipped for cooking than any rental I have personally stayed at. The bed rooms all have brand new furniture. There are lights of many kinds everywhere in the house. There is a large new TV in the living room with directTV (local news and 50+ channels) and a DVD player. Renters can use their own Netflix, Hulu or Amazon, Video login on the smart TV. John decided to rewire something he had contractually agreed not to, rendering it non-functioning for the next renter, which luckily we discovered while preparing the property for the next renter. Despite John saying he would not rent here again (and trust me we would not let him), he actually did choose to rent our property on a second occasion. For someone who thought there was better value in the area, and was so dissatisfied, this is quite a surprise! Despite someone acting unhinged like this, we still try to do what we can to make a great stay for them. Unfortunately, some people cannot be satisfied, and they seem to delight in criticism.
We loved staying at this beautiful desert home. It was quiet and comfortable. We loved seeing so many stars at night.
