Clean and well acquainted host provided some welcome snacks, and directions to the closest restaurant and plenty of little complement that were greatly appreciated
That was one of the best experiences in many years traveling. The place was very clean, and packed with everything you need from bed sheets to the coffee tea and many other little things you may forget. Great stay, Will be definitely back.
Loved the location, local options for exploration and tourism, quality of the property and amenities and nearby cities.
Might want to bring your own pillows.

Hi Daniel! We offer two different pillow types on the bed to give guests options and I’m so sorry neither option was to your liking. I appreciate the feedback and will look into swapping one of them out or adding a third option in the future.
The place was cozy, clean, and had wonderful amenities. The host was great at communicating and I didn’t need to bring much. Will be back again for sure!

I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay, Jessica! Thank you for your kind review!
We had a quick stay as we were in town for a wedding. Allison was very prompt with any and all our questions-will definitely consider this condo again when in the area.
The condo had a lot of natural light and was well equipped with coffee, bath products etc. we especially liked that check out was at 12 pm which allowed us to enjoy the lake a little longer while most people were packing up their cars. I would definitely stay again!

While check-out from the unit is at 11am, the resort amenities are available until 12pm on the day of check-out for guests to enjoy before heading home. Late check-out or additional nights may be available upon request, depending on our cleaning team’s schedule and unit availability!
We went for our honeymoon. The room was thoughtfully stocked with coffee and snacks. There was a lot of board games in the room and a small kitchen area with a dishwasher. The building was secure and there were many amenities available. We spent most of our time on the water and dining out at several of the local restaurants.
Everything we needed and extras like snacks, clean, comfortable bed. Restaurant food was very good. Nice waiter-Tommy. Didn’t really use the kitchen but everything needed to do so was there. Check in through VRBO was easy. Instructions were excellent. Allison promptly answered questions.
Was perfect getaway. Accommodations very very nice. The owner was awesome in communication with us. Day of check in The staff at Mariners landing was great and helpful and friendly.
Didn’t use all the facilities for the short stay.
We had an amazing stay at this rental! The location was fantastic, and the apartment was incredibly organized, providing everything you need to feel right at home. The people were really friendly, and the location was superb. The pool with the lake view was a highlight, and there were two small lake beaches where you could rent boats. Unfortunately, the boat rentals were fully booked and closed during Memorial Weekend, but we look forward to trying them on future reservations.
My wife and I had a wonderful time and were very happy with this last-minute find. Highly recommended!
PS: Allison is an incredible host and it's always on top of all your needs with speed reply.
From the moment of our arrival, the owner was available for our questions. The place was so clean and stocked with everything we could possibly need, even hair ties! The bed was very comfortable with cotton linens and fresh pillows. Plenty of bath towels and the makeup removing towels were a speacial touch! The kitchen had everything needed to make a small meal if you wanted. Getting into the building and the room initially was confusing but if you follow the step by step instructions it is fine, you just need to take the time to do it before arrival. We will be back! We had a great time!
My name is Allison and I was born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia, before my family moved to Michigan. We spent many summer days and nights enjoying Smith Mountain Lake while we lived in the area, and we took many family road trips to come back and visit after our move. Some of my favorite childhood memories include camping in tents, fishing, boating, catching fireflies, and making smore's at the bonfire on the lake. My appreciation for the beauty of the Blue Ridge has grown tremendously as an adult, and my husband has grown to love it here over the years as well! From hiking, rafting, exploring, and simply admiring the sunsets, I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to purchase my own small slice of heaven at Mariners Landing! I hope you enjoy your stay at the lake as much as we have over the years!
Why they chose this property
Mariners Landing is an amazing property with plenty of amenities to enjoy during your stay. It is also in the perfect location to explore some of my favorite Smith Mountain Lake experiences without having to travel more than ~30-45 minutes. When in season, you can pick your own blueberries at Buffy's Blueberries (cash only) or enjoy delicious wine flights on the Ramulose Winery patio. If you love to hike, bike, walk trails, or explore wildlife, the Smith Mountain Lake State Park is not too far of a drive. For the history buff, the Smith Mountain Lake Dam and the Booker T. Washington monument visitor centers are great places to peruse. And for Putt-Putt golf, shopping, and ice cream, check out Bridgewater Plaza! It is very tempting to want to visit for a long weekend, but when it is time to leave you will wish you had stayed for at least a week!
