4 Shrimp and a Crab is a beautiful raised beach house in Surfside Beach, SC. Rents weekly Sunday to Sunday during summer.Has 5 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms with 4 of the bedrooms having their own en suite bathrooms. Can sleep up to 12 people, being over 2000 square feet. Has elevator, private pool (heating available $300) ,and a golf cart provided for guest use. Has all the amenities you need to make this your home away from home. Convenient location that is close to beach, shopping, dining and local attractions. Please look at the pictures and videos, and read the reviews. Exterior repainted and stonework re-done in 2020. This homes calendar runs a weekly 7 day rental of Sunday to Sunday during peak wummer season. (June- August).

Afternoon check in at 4:00 PM until checkout following Sunday morning at 10:00 AM.

When make booking request to us, we will email for some addiitional guest information of which we require repies to us at time of request, Reservations are created when payment is made on owner approved booking requests. We sometimes get multiple inquiries for same date ranges that we quote multiple people on the same day. A quote does not equal a reservation or dates held until paid and approved.

In order to book our home you must read over the required Rental Agreement we will provide after acceptance, complete all required information, and return with drivers license verifying your agreement to the stated terms that they are acceptable and will be followed. Please notify us if have any questions on this.

We generally only allow Family rentals with responsible adult over 30 years of age. We do not rent to groups under 30 years of age. Any non family groups, and/ or people bringing motorcycles or trailers please contact us prior to requesting to book to get approval to reserve.

Sleeping for 12 (10 adults max as other 2 beds are a child's bunk bed)

Stand alone private detached home.

Golf cart is legal to ride on streets in Surfside and includes permit to allow free parking at all golf cart parking areas,including golf cart beach access parking throughout Surfside.

We also provide golf cart, linens, house towels, beach supplies, and a private pool.

We enjoyed our time as a family at your wonderful home. Plenty of space for everyone to be together and also have their own personal space. Having the pool just steps away was wonderful and the elevator was a godsend. The beach was only a short ride away with the provided golf cart! Wish we could have stayed another week. Thank you!

Perfect beach getaway!!!!

4 Shrimp and a Crab was the perfect beach getaway. The home looks exactly like the pictures. We were close to a lot of attractions, had a private pool and was walking distance to the beach. The added amenity was the use of the golf cart. The host checked in on us when we arrived to see if we had a questions and to let us know that we could reach out if needed. Of course, we didn’t need them because the place was perfect. We will definitely use them again. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!!!!

Perfect beach vacation spot

This was our 5th stay in Surfside, and 4 Shrimp and a Crab is our favorite place to stay!! The house is so beautiful and there is a ton of space for everyone. The pool was a star feature for us, as well as the use of a golf cart with pre-paid beach front parking! We were only a few blocks from the beach (3-4) but when you have to haul equipment, the golf cart was a life saver! We ate almost every meal on the balcony because the ceiling fan and breeze made it all so perfect. We will always come back to this house!!

We enjoyed the house, the attention to details, the golf cart for getting back and forth to the beach. We came down with our adult kids and although there were a lot of little kids on the beach, we were able to relax and enjoy the beach and pool all week!

Great Family Week Long Vacation

The house was perfect for our group of 10, and the cart was especially useful for elderly parents. The house was clean and very close to the beach. We would definitely recommend this property to others. The owners were extremely responsive and very easy to work with. Just about everything is a pretty close walk or ride without the typical Myrtle Beach traffic.

Great, spacious retreat!

We had such a great time. The girls in the family got together for beach trip. The rooms are spacious with great bathrooms for everyone. Girls can never have enough bathroom time this house has lots. The ride to the beach on the golf cart was fun. It was great to be able to park right at the decking to the beach for free. It was easy to go back and forth with the golf cart. We felt safe and enjoyed breakfast on the front porch in the morning and dinner on the back porch at night.

A Perfect Vacation Spot

We had a delightful stay here in July. The garage storage was stocked with pool and beach toys, bikes, beach chairs, golf cart. The golf cart was a huge bonus in transporting everything to the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed including a Keurig coffeemaker and a sampling of coffee pods! There were many board games for all ages. The location could not have been better - convenient to everything in Myrtle Beach, but we ended up enjoying lots of local restaurants in Surfside and Garden City. It was a very pleasant 5 min walk to the beach. The beach was spacious and all the kids enjoyed the great waves. We loved the quiet neighborhood and there were a couple parks nearby for our grandkids to enjoy. We sat on the front deck every morning enjoying coffee and conversation. The pool was a little smaller than expected, but didn't stop us from enjoying every inch of it. Steve and Kathy were excellent hosts and were responsive

We loved it!❤️ Best beach house ever!!!

This house is truly amazing! It has everything you need for vacation! The only thing we had to bring from home was pool/beach towels. There were plenty of kitchen supplies to cook full meals & store leftovers in the refrigerator. We cooked every morning & evening. This was our first vacation with my husband's family and we were never in each other's way. That is hard to do with 4 families. Every family had their own bedroom and bathroom and an extra one for the kids. It was absolutely perfect! Kathy & Steve checked on us to make sure we were happy. The housekeeper waited on us to arrive to let us know that the grill was working but they weren't happy with how we had to light it with a torch lighter so she said Kathy & Steve were going to buy a new one. The next morning she delivered it. Thank you Kathy & Steve b/c we did grill out a few times & the new one worked great!! The elevator was truly a blessing to our family. My in-laws & my sister-n-law have bad knees and couldn't walk up stairs. The swimming pool was perfect for when we needed a break from the beach. Your supply of beach chairs, toys & games were great!! Not only for the kids but us adults loved them! The golf cart was also a blessing. The beach was only about 4 blocks from the house but it was great for transportation to the beach without having to pay for parking! Thank you & we look forward staying there again the next time we plan a beach trip!!!

Great house, great location!!

We had a truly wonderful stay at 4 shrimp and a crab! It’s in the perfect location, just a short walk to the beach and having the golf cart made getting there even easier. The pool was great! All the little extras were provided, beach chairs, pool floats, sand toys and bikes. We would absolutely return and would recommend this house to anyone.

Property was well kept, clean and quite comfortable. The walk to the beach was easy. The pool was so clean and refreshing. The golf cart came in handy more than once and the elevator made the unloading and loading a piece of cake. We had a great time and recommend this property to anyone considering Surfside Beach.

Fun beach week. On the beach all day. Great restaurants for lunch sn dinner, enjoyed trips to Drippys ice cream on 17 and the pier. Putt-putt. ED venture at Market Commons, shopping at Tanger Outlets and Tomlinsons and Marshalls.

Great place for a family vacation. We had enough space for everyone to spread out and relax to themselves as well as enough room to sit together in the living room or dining room. Pool was a plus. Very warm and enjoyable. Beaches were very close to walk or drive in the provided golf cart. Love it

August 2024 Short Stay

The property was very clean and well kept. Nine adults were comfortable. We were a little disappointed with the view out back to the other properties, but obviously the owner cannot change that aspect. The complimentary golf cart was a big plus to move us and chairs to the beach, or nearby restaurants. We would definitely stay again if the opportunity presents itself.

Fun in the sun!

4 Shrimp and a Crab provides a great home base to enjoy the beach and pool and all the amenities of Surfside. We especially enjoyed the boat tours of Murrell’s inlet and some exciting Putt-putt matches. The accommodations and pool were perfect for our family!

A Great Week at the Beach!

This was our 2nd time staying at 4 Shrimp and a Crab, and it did not disappoint. We love the easy access to the beach and the amazing comfort of the pool. The house has so many nice extras, from a few spices in the cabinet, to lots of toys, to plenty of coffee filters! The house was a great launching pad for us to visit Murrell’s Inlet or to venture a little further to Mt. Atlanticus in Myrtle Beach for mini-golf. The many bedrooms with their own baths made it easy for us to accommodate everyone from kids to grandparents! Kathy and Steve are responsive and accommodating too—we definitely recommend their home!

Wonderful!

If you are looking for a place for your large/extended family, this is the place!! The house is well stocked with essentials to get you started! All bedrooms have a bathroom and the golf cart is great to shuffle people and chairs to/from the beach. The pool was perfect for days when we needed a break from the surf and sand. The beach itself, even at the height of summer, was largely uncrowded. Great place for families!

BEST RENTAL HOME IN SURFSIDE

My friends and I stayed at 4 Shrimp and a Crab for my husband's 40th birthday. There are plenty of rooms and beds. The house is filled with everything you need. Kathy and Steve were available for any questions we had and even checked in with us to make sure everything was ok when we arrived. The beach was close and there are restaurants and bars within walking distance. You don't even have to walk though, because you have the golf cart! The boys had fun playing ping pong. I highly recommend this house. Already started spreading the word!

We are a family of 5 who love our homes in Surfside Beach SC, “The Family Beach”. Throughout the years we vacationed at many different places along the coast of North and South Carolina. When we stayed at Surfside Beach, we knew this was the place we wanted to purchase a home at. It has so much more to offer than the other coastal areas we visited previously- it is a small family-oriented town only 2 miles long, that is clean, safe, and close to all the activities of the Myrtle Beach Grand Strand, and is golf cart and pedestrian friendly so you can leave the car parked and just enjoy family time.

When we were younger, we stayed at many places, but they always seemed to let us down- issues with cleanliness, location, amenities, etc. We decided if we were ever fortunate enough to own a beach home that we, or people who visited our home, would never experience these issues. We offer everything possible at our homes. We handle all rentals on our own, being most rental companies are concerned with profit above guest satisfaction. We do everything possible to ensure a 5 star stay for our guests who often become friends over the years, and even have a local contact, who is a friend of ours, to help handle any unforeseen issues that one may incur during their stay.

We try to make sure our homes have everything that you would have at your personal home like a well-stocked kitchen and laundry, plus nice amenities while on vacation like private pools, hammocks, linens and house towels, beach toys and chairs, ping pong, and some of the homes also have elevators, and included golf carts. On top of all of that our places are clean, and none of them are very far from the beach, or shopping, restaurants, and attractions.

Why they chose this property

Best location in Myrtle Beach area. Family friendly with little noise and traffic, but convenient to everything. This home is in a fantastic location that is close to the beach, near several parks, and close to attractions and restaurants. House has numerous covered porches with rocking chairs that offer nice, relaxing views, and a nice private pool, that can be heated, with plenty of pool furniture. A fantastic place to escape from the hectic pace of daily life and work for a week or two :)
