We would not recommend staying here in the winter. The house was COLD, we had to wear our ski jackets indoors the first day/evening, it took many hours for the electric baseboard heaters to warm up the bedrooms.
The location was beautiful RIGHT on the river and overall the house was charming. The heat warmed the house despite single digit temps outside but we really utilized the awesom ewood atove that threw lots of heat. There was plenty of wood to burn. One downside was i hadnt saved the access info for entry to the house & due to remote lication we had no signal to get the code so i had ro drive 10 min down the road to get the door code & wifi password from an email! The kitchen was stocked with condiments & coffee & plenty of cookware. Beds were fine, not 5 star but comfortable enough. I would recommend & we may try to come back to this house in the summer!Thank you!
Easy check in, responsive to questions, peaceful setting with being right on water. Great getaway for my family, easily accessible to Stratton and a relaxing spot after a ski day - awesome fireplace.

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
We knew the house was dated but a few things that should be improved. Was ok clean not real clean. Bathroom had wall to wall carpets and toilet and shower were not real clean. he bed in the Main bedroom bed looked beautiful, but it was way too soft. The other bedroom had two twin beds and not good for couples. Kitchen was dated. The highlights were the fireplace and the outdoor deck. the deck was amazing. we loved the fireplace.

It would had been nice to hear it from you when you arrived.
Hope you were happy with early check-in and late check-out. It's always good to let the owner know about any issue, I could have taken care of the problem right away.
Being next to the river was very relaxing. The house is cozy. I had a wonderful stay. Thank you Cindy!
Just a small comment, it would be nice to add a salad bowl and a pie dish for the oven.

Lovely little spot that has been updated since the photos (new windows, for one). It was summer when we stayed so the river was low, but the noise of the brook was still wonderful.
Cindy’s property was beautiful and the river was amazing. Incredible views and convenient to all the mountains for snowboarding. The house was even better than the listing shows! All in all the perfect little spot to spend a long weekend!

This home is absolutely perfect for a get-away. The babbling brook is just outside and it was very peaceful hearing it. The house was wonderful, had everything you may need, and the living room view was just gorgeous. We loved our time staying here. Highly recommend.

About the host
Hosted by Cindy Estrada
I was born in New York, but I grew up in Puerto Rico, I now live in New York, I love to read and gardening. I love nature, there is nothing better in the world that to wake up to the sound of the River in the back yard with great cup of coffee and a fabulous book.
Why they chose this property
I bought this property because we spent a lot of time in Vermont skiing,we were renting houses for the season in the area. I feel in love with Pikes Fall and then I found a house right in front of the river, incredible I don't believe it's been 33 years.
What makes this property unique
The views from every window are so special, the back yard, the children's playground and the deck, which is very large faces the river. Lots of wild beautiful flowers and birds.
