I'm a serial home renovator and I enjoy finding old houses desperately in need of love and making them beautiful again. I always try to keep as much of the vintage detail as possible but with updated kitchens and bathrooms.
Why they chose this property
My house is in the middle of midtown Detroit. When I first came here it was a little rough, but now there are many restaurants and shops in the neighborhood and it gets more interesting all the time.
What makes this property unique
My house was built in 1872 and has seen some bad times. It was abandoned and fire damaged when I found it, but so many wonderful details remained. I love the 11 foot ceilings, huge crown mouldings and slate fireplace that have survived through it all.
