About this property
Blue Moon-Dog Friendly and a Short Walk to Winthrop!
Blue Moon (a legal, licensed nightly rental with a current Okanogan County health permit as required by law) is dog friendly(1 dog limit) and has a perfect in-town location – walking distance to restaurants, and shops, and all the wonderful outdoor activities Winthrop has to offer. If you’re spending time with friends, or gathering the family, this home has 4 bedrooms with plenty of room for everyone...Welcome to Blue Moon.
This dog friendly home is located about 2 blocks from Winthrop's one-and-only 4-way stop. It was once a much smaller house that had a recent remodel, building out the first floor and adding a second floor, while maintaining the charming character of the coved doorways. On the main floor there is a good-sized living room with propane stove and A/C, a bedroom with A/C, large kitchen, and bright dining room. A queen bedroom sits just off the living room along with a common bathroom. The newly remodeled kitchen features new cabinets, countertop, stove, dishwasher, 4-door fridge (open from middle), pots, pans and serving dishes and utensils, slow cooker, full spice rack Panni press, rice cooker, electric fry pan, Cuisinart coffee maker, French press, coffee grinder, one cup Keurig maker(bring your own Keurig coffee) and a stovetop espresso maker. There is a nice big dining room table for all to gather around. Bring your slippers as the kitchen floor can be cool! Free fuzzy socks are provided. There is a ‘mud room’ for your gear, or waxing skis, just before you head upstairs. A ski/hiking boot dryer is available.
On the second floor you’ll find a master bedroom with king bed, private bathroom and sunset porch; and another bedroom with a queen size bed and a shared hallway bathroom. At the end of the hallway is a laundry room, plus a 'bonus room', or upstairs rec room, with two double beds and television.
Living Room has big-screen Roku TV, DVD player, and vintage stereo with Bluetooth connectivity for personalized music from your phone; and board games.
There is a small fenced back yard for your dog to play.
There is an EV charger 48amps, J1772/CCS
Tesla owners bring NACS to CCS adapter.

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT YEAR ROUND TRAVEL INFORMATION--READ BEFORE BOOKING A RESERVATION:
1)It is the responsibility of the guest to have travel plans in place to travel either over the North Cascades via Highway 20 OR to travel over Steven's Pass through Leavenworth OR to travel I-90 over Snoqualmie to Blewett Pass through Wenatchee and then up the Columbia river to the Methow Valley. If one route is closed, it is the YOUR responsibility to make alternate plans for travel. NO REFUNDS will be given at any time of the year simply because an alternate route must be taken and add additional travel time. Highway 20 is closed in the winter and mountain passes can be closed anytime of the year because of wildfires, rockslides or other occurrences. Directions over all the routes will be sent to. you 3 days before your arrival. Make sure to check pass reports(and they can change while you are en route) and print out the directions before you leave.
2)Trail Access/Closure Information:
If you are coming to hike, bike, or ski on a trail or system of trails which happen to be closed before or during your stay, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. Trail closures can occur anytime because of fire, rockslides, mud flows...and we have no control over this. There are many hiking, biking trails of various kinds in the Methow Valley. If access to the North Cascades is closed via Hwy 20 because of any reason, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. There beautiful hikes in and around our valley that we would be happy to recommend.
INTERNET POLICY..PLEASE NOTE:
**We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley and outages or tech issues can occur that we have no control over, and for these reasons NO REFUNDS are given if the internet is problematic. We also do not guarantee that the internet will meet your work/school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through VRBO describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will then contact the internet provider, and/or homeowner. Please note... our valley is very rural and getting service personnel to fix things in a timely manner can be a challenge. We rent lodging, not office space.
Public internet is available at the Winthrop library with enhanced internet speed (parking lot or inside the library). Alternatively, for a fee you can go to the Dropzone in downtown Winthrop. Thank you for your understanding!
IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION :
**Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme with large snowfalls, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, impassable roads/driveways). If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA
**Propane Fireplace--should there be tech issues or the propane fireplace upon your arrival please send a message through VRBO. Methow Reservations and the owner will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem. If the problem requires a part or there is an issue with the propane company that may take longer that your stay, NO REFUNDS will be given.
