Wrangle In--Dog Friendly! A Block Above Downtown Winthrop!
This is a dog friendly, local Winthrop home right in town, just above the old west boardwalk, one street up. This house was built in 1955 and retains that old mid-century charm. The upstairs bedrooms feature the ever-so-popular 50's knotty pine paneling. The living room is cozy with a coffered ceiling. The stairs are narrow and steep with a handrail. The kitchen has been modernized, but still maintains some of the sense of Grandma's house. Coffee lovers will enjoy the assortment of coffee equipment(regular, aeropress, french press, coffee grinder)
The main floor has a shared living room with Smart TV and a dining table. The kitchen is on the right, with a laundry area behind the kitchen and passage way to the rear. Chemically free dishes and utensils for the kids along with a high chair for the little ones.
There is a larger queen bedroom with a Smart TV and full bath on the main floor. Up the stairs are two dormer bedrooms, one with a Smart TV. There is also a stand up desk in one of the bedrooms as well. Games and puzzles are available to enjoy with family and friends.
"Out back', through the back door is fenced backyard with lawn, a deck on the north side of the house with several tables for dining outside,Weber gas BBQ, and outdoor games. There is a shed to hold bicycles(4-6 bikes, depending on the size). An EV charger(Level 2 Emporia brand with J1772 connector)for those with electric vehicles.
INTERNET POLICY: **We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley and outages or tech issues can occur that we have no control over, and for these reasons NO REFUNDS are given if the internet is problematic. We also do not guarantee that the internet will meet your work/school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through VRBO describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will then contact the internet provider, and/or homeowner. Please note... our valley is very rural and getting service personnel to fix things in a timely manner can be a challenge. We rent lodging, not office space.
Public internet is available at the Winthrop library with enhanced internet speed (parking lot or inside the library). Alternatively, for a fee you can go to the Dropzone in downtown Winthrop. Thank you for your understanding!
IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION : **Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme with large snowfalls, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, impassable roads/driveways). If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA
**Propane Fireplace--should there be tech issues or the propane fireplace upon your arrival please send a message through Airbnb. Methow Reservations and the owner will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem. If the problem requires a part or there is an issue with the propane company that may take longer that your stay, NO REFUNDS will be given.

Very nice overall right in the heart of Winthrop's night area
Very nice place, great location, within walking distance of everything. A little limited in the kitchen; utensils, spices, etc... otherwise very nice stay. GREAT Wi-Fi.
Great location. Nice backyard. We stayed nice and cool with all of the a/c units. The 3 bedrooms and the pull out couch in the loft worked out great for the 6 of us. The 2 grand kids were happy they didn’t have to share a room because of the loft. Would stay here again!
Well appointed and close to town. More ADA accommodations especially on lower level would be nice, also handrails for front and back steps. Met most of our needs, thanks so much for sharing your home.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your feedback:)
The house is located just above town and within walking distance to restaurants and shops - it was very convenient to not have to get into the car for every outing. The house is older and smaller but has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The house was a perfect vacation rental! One block away from downtown and a quick drive to the lake. It was a little warm on the first day, but the AC units in each of the rooms did a great job all the other days. Would stay again!

Thanks for your great feedback. Yes, its been a hot summer and glad the AC helped temper the heat!
We enjoyed this cozy well appointed home while spending a week skiing in the Methow Valley...and the easy walk into town for shopping, meals, etc. The home was well supplied, comfortable for the four adults, and easy to access everything!
We were in town for a local trail marathon with friends, and this house was the perfect place for us. We had kids (2 1-y.o.s, and one 2-y.o.), we had adults, and the accommodations were amazing for our group. Would definitely stay here again, if we could.
We had a great time at this house. The description is accurate. The location is central and an easy walk to town. It was clean and we had everything we needed for the stay. I use VRBO a lot. This house was by far the best in the generosity on paper towels and items of that nature. It was thoughtfully stocked and this was noticed and appreciated. I would definitely stay here again.
Came to Winthrop to visit family. The Wrangle Inn fit our needs. Good location, Beds were comfortable enough. Home could use some dusting but otherwise a decent place. We had a wonderful trip.

Wonderful to hear! Glad you had a nice weekend in town.
The property was exactly as described and there were no hiccups or funny business with our stay. We showed up, stayed, and enjoyed ourselves without any trouble. The house was in good shape and met our needs perfectly.
We stayed here with a group of friends. The place was perfect for the three couples. The living room couch was big enough for everyone to lounge on, and the dining table the perfect size for a group. Overall this was a fantastically well thought out and equipped place to stay. As and added bonus it is close enough to walk downtown and get a drink or a treat at the bakery!
We stayed here for two nights in July 2025 while visiting North Cascades National Park. The property provided great access to the eastern entrance of the park and was conveniently located just a block north of downtown Winthrop, with several walkable restaurants and stores. The property had everything we needed and was very comfortable. When a small problem arose (our fault), the property manager was there promptly to help us rectify the issue. It was an overall great experience!
