Adirondack Star Ridge Cottage - A ‘Peace’ of Heaven on 30 private acres

Adk Star Ridge Cottage is simply a 'Peace' of Heaven. Located on 30 private & serene acres, it is adjacent to thousands of acres of pristine timberland. Neighbors are few and far between. We have only 1 other full time residence within 3/4 mile of the property. You can expect peace & quiet with the sounds & smells of nature filling your senses.

You may choose to simply lounge on the 750sq.' deck with a drink at hand and the bbq grilling away or hike a trail right from the side door to explore the forests beyond. The cottage has games, puzzles, wireless & Roku tv for those who prefer to stay indoors but may still avail the views through many windows & doors.

Hop in the car or on your bikes and travel a few miles to the Jay 'rapids' where you can soak, slide & cool off in the AuSable River. Visit the Jay Green, home to JEMS theatre and outdoor concerts and Summer festivals. Pop in to local artisans shops such as the Jay Studio (on the Green) & Youngs Gallery (just up Rt. 86) or grab an ice cream at Devins.

Catch some local farm produce, award winning cheese, yogurt, raw milk, craft beer and even whiskey and that’s just a start!

This was once our home that we built in 2000. We have since built on another portion of the property located over a 1/4 mile away.

Why they chose this property

This vacation rental has all the features of home in a pristine setting among the beauty of the Adirondacks. The ridge area ( 5 minute walk up the driveway from the Cottage) faces out towards the High Peaks and Whiteface Mountain. The majestic views from the ridge make for a surreal experience at sunrise and sunset. NOTE: Absolutely NO outside fires permitted on the property. The ridge fire pit is not active and must remain unused at this time.
Overall, our intention is that the Cottage on Adirondack Star Ridge be an experience which make's possible memories to last a lifetime. The wonderful guests that have been called to our property take with them the benefits of a relaxing and renewing experience and leave their imprint for those who follow. Please read our reviews and let our guests tell the many other reason for choosing us for your Adk getaway.

What makes this property unique

Our past guest's comments speak to the benefit of choosing the Cottage on Adirondack Star Ridge, a quiet seemingly remote (but still close to everything great in the High Peaks!) location to relax and recharge their batteries. In fact many guests hardly ever leave the peace of Adirondack Star Ridge! They walk the short 5 minute hike up to the ridge to catch a sunset or just relax on their own 700 sq.' deck overlooking the forest and NE views beyond. There is a new screen room on the deck for your enjoyment.
