Affectionately dubbed “The Pink Lady”, this 1894 architectural beauty is on the National Register of Historic Places and operated as a traditional B&B in the 1990s.
Today, the Pink Lady’s grand return to hospitality is marked by a major upgrade- you can now enjoy the entirety of this gorgeous 19th century mansion for your own private stay.
Tucked away on a charming bricked street, the property is only two blocks from Lake Michigan and a 10-minute walk to downtown restaurants and shopping.
The space
Our space is an excellent choice for a romantic getaway, families, or all types of groups traveling or meeting together.
The house has a fascinating history! You will find a detailed information binder full of newspaper clippings and collected stories, as well as scripts from house tours given by the Historical Society over the years.
Two of the 2nd floor bedrooms (king and queen) have en-suite full baths, the third 2nd floor bedroom (queen) has a full bath directly adjacent. The second floor also has a laundry room available for your use as well as a communal room with seating and a TV.
The 3rd floor suite offers an extra measure of privacy. It consists two more bedrooms (queen and full,
one has its own balcony), a full bath, and a lounge area with a wraparound couch and TV. There’s also a coffeemaker and k-cups, bar sink, mini-fridge and microwave. There is a twin bed in the back of the lounge area, and an additional twin bed on-hand stored in the walk-in closet if needed.
We can also provide a pack-n-play upon request. Please note, we do not want anyone sleeping on couches..
We clean and sanitize with Norwex which means no harsh chemicals that can bother asthma-sufferers. All sheets, duvets, and towels are all laundered with free and clear detergent.
Guest access
You will be given a code for your keyless entry 2-3 days before your arrival. There is a long driveway you can use for parking.
The entire first, second and third floors will be available for your use. We do not have an outdoor space available at this time but there is a beautiful sunroom to utilize if you are feeling the need for some vitamin D!
Other things to note
Full bathrooms are all on the 2nd and 3rd floors. There is a half-bath for first floor access, but it is “sunken” and has a handful of stairs to reach. All three floors have their own lounge/TV area with couches.
