We so enjoyed our second stay at this beautiful beach front home! The house is spacious and comfortable, located in a tranquil wooded area with a view of the water and the beach just steps away. The house was well equipped for our 2 week vacation. We appreciated the clear communication and responsiveness from our host. We look forward to returning!
This is the third summer we have vacationed to this home. The location is amazing. The house is rustic which is fine with us since we spend most of the time on the beach anyway. The beach is beautiful. The road is safe to ride bikes on with the family as well. If Traverse City traffic is driving you crazy, head up the peninsula and get away!
We stayed here for a week long family vacation. The beach was beautiful!! Crystal clean waters and sandy bottom. Had fun finding petosky stones :). We had six adults, so having 3 full baths was great. The living area and dining room had plenty of room for all of us. The deck gave us extra dining space as well. Just a short maybe ten minute drive to Northport for the market where we did most of our shopping. Did a couple day trips to fishtown, suttons bays, traverse city and even over to sleeping bear dunes. This cabin is a in great location for exploring. Would definitely stay again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home on the gorgeous Leelanau Peninsula! The home had a nice layout with plenty of room for our family. We all loved the private beach and surrounding wooded area and we so appreciated the home was pet friendly. The location was excellent with lots to do in the area when we weren’t relaxing on the beach. Truly a perfect Michigan Up North vacation!
Wonderful cabin on the lake, well kept. Pictures really don't do it justice. Private beach access right out the back. The trails are a little over grown, but manageable. The brush does allow for more privacy. There are homes on either side, but a good distance away so plenty of privacy. Highly recommend. It was a great getaway for my wife and I but we'll definitely consider it for our family next year as there were plenty of rooms with queen beds we didn't use. Couldn't have been more pleased.
The wooded location and private beach were wonderful. We brought along a kayak, and had a great time in beautiful Traverse Bay. We stayed in during our stay due to COVID, but in different times the little town we drove through that is nearby, Sutton’s Bay, is quite charming and worth checking out. The galley-style kitchen is tight but if you plan accordingly-simple meals-it’s no big deal, plus there’s a nice grill outside a good array of pots and pans.
This is our second stay at this property. The secluded beach is great for the kids to play on and look for Petoskey Stones. The property is clean and even had some upgrades this year from last year. We once again loved it here. The neighbors and locals are very nice in the neighborhood and in the towns or Northport and Suttons Bay. You won't regret your stay here. Enjoy the sunrise over the bay.
This very rustic cabin is worth the location, beach and views from the deck. The master suite definitely adds a special touch as the other two main floor bedrooms are very small (and needing new carpet). I would have preferred much less clutter in the cabin as it seems as though they use it for generations of family artifacts and storage. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay and the peace and quiet of our campfires on the pristine and sandy beach.
This is an amazing beachfront property. My family and I usually stay in Traverse City but we tried something different this year. We wish we switched a long time ago. The communication was great with the owner. The house was clean when we arrived. The beach is unbeatable, felt like a private beach. The Milky Way was popping in the sky over the bay. It is private and hardly any traffic for our kids to ride their bikes. It is a short trip away from Suttons Bay and Northport. The sunrise is stunning. Overall, you will not regret booking this.
This property is located on a beautiful stretch of private beach, which my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed, The house has a lovely large deck with a view of the bay. However, the property needs to be updated. While the house is large, it has the smallest kitchen I have ever seen in my life. It is an awkward T shape, and does not fit more than one person. One of the baths had a backed up sink. The entire home is very dim; the lighting should be upgraded. The downstairs bedroom was almost like a private apartment, but the only way to access it was a small spiral staircase and a narrow winding exterior path. Very difficult to carry a suitcase to it.A major complaint was that we were asked to take the garbage to the end of a long gravel driveway to the road for pickup. The two garbage cans were already filled to the brim, and extremely heavy. It looked like a month or more worth of garbage. We only had one small bag of our own garbage to add. We did this, but thought it was a lot to ask of paying guests. It is a large home, and other than the kitchen fairly comfortable. However, it is sadly in need of upgrades.
The location of this house is fantastic, located between Suttons Bay and Northport, with plenty to do and lots of places to eat in both towns, and only 30 minutes from Traverse City. The private sandy beach was great! The kids loved playing in the sand and getting their toes wet in the water. There's a firepit on the beach and we enjoyed relaxing there at night gazing at all the stars. The house faces east on the bay and the sunrises were breathtaking. The Hosts are great, and they were very responsive to all questions. The house left a bit to be desired and was more Rustic than anticipated. It has plenty of room, but aside from the master, the two other bedrooms on the main floor are very small, with poor lighting. Without daylight, and the natural light provided by numerous skylights, the lighting throughout the entire house is poor, only provided by lamps. Playing games in the evening at the dining room table was near impossible with the only light is provided by one dimly lit lamp hung over the table. All the bathrooms are nicely remolded, however, mine had a big carpenter ant issue, I would find one or two every time I used the bathroom. Aside from the carpenter ants, the house also had a huge fruit fly infestation that needs to be addressed. Everyone gets fruit flies once in a while, but not to this extent. I would not have been put off by seeing a dish of apple cider vinegar left out to attract them and keep them out of my drink, or by ant traps left in various spots.
The house was exactly what our family needed! Rooms for everyone to stay and plenty of outdoor area where we spend 90% of our time at. The house is close to two towns which gave us areas to dine at however seclusion from the hustle and bustle of a town. I hope to return again next year.
We stayed at Singing Sands for a week with family from out of town. Our group was 5 adults and 3 kids, ages 4-7. Jessica was very communicative and helpful leading up to our stay. The house was so spacious and we each were able to have our own space and bathroom
In the house. The house is comfortable and eclectic, outfitted with everything we needed, just had to buy food. The private beach is spectacular. The water is crystal clear and the bottom Sandy. It was the perfect swimming spot for our group! Amina is a very cute town and the peninsula has so many cool spots to visit that are just a short drive away. We would highly recommend this property and can’t wait to book it again for next year
Great beach. Good place to visit the M22 sites and activities from.

Nice stay
Private beach was great with fire pit. Property is overgrown, making it difficult to see the water from the deck. Comforter was not washed. Glad there was a washer and dryer.
The property location can’t be beat - quiet area of the Grand Traverse Bay. The property itself needs attention. Upon check-in the property had not been cleaned, which was immediately addressed by the property manager and owner, upon which we were extremely thankful. The property seemed to have extensive water damage in the lower basement quarters with visible damage on walls and window treatments. The dehumidifier was undersized and needed to be emptied every 4 hours. Active rodent activity inside the property was documented. The beach was small but adequate for our group. Local rentals of kayaks and water sport equipment made our stay better. We frequent Northern Lower Michigan yearly and plan to return to the area again, but would not rent this property again.
Better described as semi-rustic, with no air or dishwasher
My husband and I have been renting vacation homes for the past 20 years. Although we’ve had some hiccups before, we always felt satisfied with our rental and what we paid for it. This was the first time we did not feel as though what was charged for this vacation home was equal to what we experienced.
Pros:
1. Unique, artistic, yet rustic vibe
2. You can tell that the owners put their heart into some of the design and building of this rental, which makes it special.
3. This home offers a moderate level of privacy.
4. The sunrises are amazing.
5. The bathrooms are beautiful.
Cons:
1. This home was experiencing a gnat and rodent issue while we were there. Due to no air conditioning in the home, nighttime was unpleasant between the mugginess and gnats combined.
2. WiFi and internet is almost non-existent.
3. The kitchen could be better stocked with dishes, bowls, cookie sheets, etc.
4. There were no Covid-19 cleaning and sanitizing products visible, as advertised.
5. The beach is very small, which we were aware of, but also extremely rocky, which we were not prepared for. This was something that was not stated in their advertisement.
6. Better lighting is needed for the sink/vanity areas.
To be fair, we did not alert the owners to our issues with the home until we got home. This was due to several reasons, including the poor cell, wifi, and internet service (which made communication difficult at times), not wanting waste time during our vacation hashing our issues, and finally, we did not want any other people entering the home during our stay (due to Covid-19 and wanting to maintain a sanitized environment).
We did alert the owners at the end of our stay and their response to our concerns were minimal.
Overall, this home has a great deal of potential. However, modifications need to be made in order to make their rental price equal to their home.
