Wonderful spot for a getaway! Spent a weekend with my brother - hiking and exploring and just relaxing here - peaceful porch next to a lovely marsh near sooo many trails and a unique, spacious but cozy accomodation.
A perfectly peaceful berkshires getaway! Comfy beds, AC, full kitchen. Wonderful backyard for dogs and very close to a bunch of easy hikes that are also dog friendly. Close to New Barrington which has a cute town center to explore. Only surprise was how loud the shower was, because of the metal tub. Very cute, and it works great but the noise of it became a running joke during our stay. Also, bears! We knew it was the mountains and very rural so it was always a possibility, but we did actually see the friendly neighborhood black bear on two occasions (once on the property in the back yard and once on a trail up the road) during our week stay so we kept the trash and all food inside and made sure to check before letting the dogs out back. 9/10 would absolutely stay here again.
We are currently on the last night of our stay here. We had such a relaxing 4 day stay. I would just advise anyone looking to stay here that the shower stall is a bit challenging to get into and out of and if you have mobility issues perhaps be prepared to be challenged entering and exiting the shower. If you can live with that then this place is fantastic. I loved being able to have a camp fire every night. And the grill was great. Living in the city in an apartment I don't have the opportunity to grill outdoors or have a fire pit so that's what I loved most about staying here and if we plan another trip this will be my go to listing. The host was extremely responsive via chat, and if I needed to, she left her phone number for communication.
It was a nice stay over near a state park to hike and cute towns to get food. The kitchen was well equipped. The owner was very quick to respond and was very helpful. We were lucky to find this place!
Lovely working holiday in this cozy cabin. The views of nature were inspiring to this harried writer. The accommodations were clean and comfy leading to a productive yet restful experience.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at Sportsmen's Lodge. The space is cozy but usefully divided into separate spaces, with a comfortable living room and well-stocked kitchen. The large lawn with a picnic table is suitable to outdoor recreation and relaxation. A great getaway for spending time with family and friends.
Cabin was very clean. Hostess was lovely.Fireplace is in the dining room, not the living room, which is disappointing.Upstairs loft has VERY low ceiling and the ladder up to the loft is quite an adventure. It was fine for a simple place to sleep for a night.
Great little cabin close to enough to good hiking spots. The kitchen is well set up and has everything you need to cook proper meals. If you are taller, the upstairs loft with double bed is not for you.
A cozy cabin feel in a secluded park of the Berkshires. Only a 15-20 minute drive to GB. Beds weren't the best quality but after a long day we slept great. Could definitely be used for a group of friends or family.
My husband, my kids (ages 19-25) and I went to tanglewood and were very pleased with this house! It’s about a 20-ish minute drive to the area attractions, but a scenic drive. The house itself was adorable—clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and very cute! Kristen was responsive and accommodating from the moment I booked in January, all the way through our stay.
Beds were extremely comfortable and the house was very clean. However the heater in main part of the house only effectively heats the dining room and the upstairs. Living room and bathroom were very cold. Downstairs bedroom needs window shades for morning light and more blankets. The dishwasher was also broken during our stay and was not communicated to us by the host. The check out directions in the app also don’t match to the actual check out directions posted in the unit and the mailbox with the house number was broken and on the ground which made finding the house more difficult than it needed to be. The window screen in the kitchen window also had claw marks in it from a bear.
This is one of the cutest and coziest stays that I have had the pleasure of experiencing! Communication, cleanliness, and overall charm were top tier. The water pressure for the shower is everything you could ever want and was a welcome surprise after a long day of traveling. The outdoor space is quaint and perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. If you are looking for a unique, cute, quiet, and cozy place to stay, you will not be disappointed staying here! I look forward to coming back for another stay sometime in the future.
