The Federal House Apartments are duplex style, there are two apartments each is 2 floors sharing only one wall in the center. The apartments were built new in the mid 2000's and thoughtful constructed to host rental guests. Each apartment has hardwood floors throughout an open floor plan with lots of natural light and easy access to the outside including a balcony off the bedrooms on the second floor. Each apartment is private and has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. The back deck and laundry room are shared only amongst the 2 apartments. The apartments are offer for rent individually. The Federal House main house has an in-ground pool shared with all three units during the summer months only. The pool is open from memorial day - labor day.

The Federal House is a perfect location. For those playing at Dreams Park you will have everything you need within a short distance. The house is only 1 mile from the park and a block away from the grocery store, McDonalds and more. The Village of Cooperstown, The Baseball Hall of Fame, The Farmers’ Museum, the Fenimore Art Museum, restaurants, and shops are all just minutes away. It is also conveniently located near the famed New York Beverage Trail, with Brewery Omegang, Red Shed Brewery and Cooperstown Brewery all located within a 4 mile radius.

The Federal House compound is offered for rent as a whole during the summer months OR as 3 separate units, see The Federal House & Apartments or Federal House Apt 1 for the other listings. In the off season the Apartments are available for rent individually only.

My son and I stayed at the Federal House Apartment 2 early September and had a blast! The house was very clean, all amenities were well thought out and plentiful, and it was very quiet.

Great location!! Close to downtown Cooperstown and groceries, breweries, putt-putt etc…. If going for baseball Dreams Park is walkable, All Star Village is a 25m drive Spacious home, comfortable beds and clean. Enjoyed the large yard playing Wiffle ball and volleyball. The pool is a bonus.

The Federal House was clean and had everything so you didnt have to worry about bringing linens, kitchenware, coffeemaker, hairdryer etc. Driving to downtown Cooperstown was a breeze, along with shops and places to eat right outside our door.

The place was clean and easy to get into. Sleeping accommodations were fine. We couldn't figure out how the TV worked and may have ordered something inadvertently more detailed instructions would be appreciated. Finally, the biggest reason we knocked it down from excellent to good was that no body wash shampoo or conditioner were provided in either bathroom.
