Our state-of-the-art Nordic Sauna is a feature of our stay. Our two-person occupancy and minimal design are curated to re-focus and re-fresh its inhabitants. Relaxing Retreat

Stayed in the shipping container and loved the whole thing. The area was beautiful and filled with great natural views. The place has an amazing sauna that was so nice and relaxing. Would recommend that anyone looking for a retreat to get away, book here.

Romantic getaway!

From the moment you step in you feel relaxed…the welcome note, the music playing, the diffuser aroma, the serene location. The property was immaculate and the decor very well selected. You will feel you are truly somewhere Nordic, especially while in the very comforting sauna and view. My husband and I used it every day during our stay! Highly recommend for a romantic getaway from the cities….

Just About Perfect

My wife and I visited Sölvieg Stay for two nights and did not want to leave. The cabin is beautiful and modern, with everything you need as well as a few much-appreciated luxuries. It was like staying in a high-end hotel room in the middle of the woods. We took two long saunas, plunged into the ice bath out back, hiked the adjoining property, and otherwise did a whole lot of nothing, which was just about perfect. We will be back!

Why they chose this property

Sölveig Stay is tucked back in 80 acres of pristine, private forest. We are located 1/2 mile from Lake Superior and a beautiful, sandy public beach and just 1/4 mile from boat access to the Amnicon River.

What makes this property unique

You’ve seen the storage container-converted living space all over the web…seems like a decent concept, right?

We’ve thought so too…for a long time. From permitting, building and designing, it has been one heck-of-a journey (harder than a game of tetris) and we are so excited for it to FINALLY be enjoyed by you.

Our space is curated into what, we think, makes for an opulent stay. We kept the good parts of sleeping in the middle of the woods and simply added a few key ingredients… think chilled bottle of champagne and a down comforter to accompany.

But in our opinion, the epitome of a relaxing evening can only be found in one place…a sauna.

Which means leaving a sauna out of our 480 square foot unit was *not* an option. Our state-of-the-art nordic sauna is lined with cedar, features a beautiful electric HUUM stove, and a window overlooking an expansive wilderness view. Enjoy our luxurious shower and patio cold plunge in-between to maximize your experience.
