The Ocean Manor is a wonderful resort on Galt Ocean Mile, best location in Fort Lauderdale.
The large en-suite bedroom contains 1 King Size bed, 50' flat screen HDTV with cable TV channels, dresser with 3 drawers and a walk-in closet.
The large 2nd bedroom contains 1 King Size bed, 38' flat screen TV, dresser and closet.
The bathroom is completely tiled with double sink and walk-in shower.
The living room has a sofa, ottoman, armchair, side table, 50' flat screen HDTV with cable TV channels and DVD player, dining table with 4 chairs and a computer desk with chair.
There is also a counter eat place.
Kitchen equipped with full-size refrigerator, glass top stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee maker, toaster, utensils, glasses, dishes, and cutlery is supplied.

Tiled floors throughout the apartment.

The condo is a walking distance to shopping, groceries and you can enjoy the nightlife, local bars, and karaoke.
It's close to Commercial Boulevard, Oakland Park, and the Pier in Lauderdale by the Sea, where is a great place for nightlife with local bars. On the beach, there are several water sports activities including Jet Ski rentals.

Across the street, there is open shopping Plaza that offers - CVS, Walgreens, Mc Donald's, Dunkin' Donuts, Winn Dixie, Deli's, Restaurants, clothes shop, hair and nail shop.

EXCELLENT LOCATION

Excellent location, although the fit is a rather small efficent, works wonders for no more than 4 people. The place is close to many shops and a very exclusive and quiet area. Having the beach in front is a bonus that is worth considering, likewise the fact of having a bar and restaurant downstairs solves many things.

It was a great place to stay, it was super nice and really enjoyed it!

It was great, I would definitely make sure things aren’t broken when you get there. We tried to use the ironing board, but it was already broken, so now we are being charged for it. Other than that it was great and we really enjoyed it.

Great apartment in a good location!

The property was clean and the space of the apartment was very ample. We loved the easy access to the beach and the pool. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to be close to the beach at an affordable price! Chris was very good at communicating with us and sending over instructions upon our arrival. The only recommendation would be a small blender for smoothies or margaritas and a cutting board for the apartment. :)

It was ok. Not my first pick.

The area was nice. The walk to the pier was a short distance. The Tiki bar was good.having access to the ocean was awesome. The room was nice but just not big enough. It says sleeps 6 but that’s a stretch because there is only 2 beds and the rest are futons. You only get 4 towels and wash cloths so plan to do laundry. Chris was quick to respond to questions.

As a said below. This unit is ok for a short term. Overall building is nice. Great location

It’s fine for a short term rental. The unit is nice and was clean when we arrived. We had an issue trying to figure out how to get the oven to work and the host contacted us promptly. The appliances and kitchen are dated but it’s fine. We had friends staying in this building and saw other units that have been updated in terms of appliances, fully stocked kitchens with pantry space and pots and pans and dinnerware.

Modern and convenient

This condo is very clean and modern. Plenty of space for our family of 4. Very easy access to pool/ocean. Owner responds quickly to questions. Great supply of bath and beach towels. There is only a shower in unit (not tub) and it is very updated. Grocery store and a few restaurants are within walking distance. Facility has coin laundry. The AC worked great. If there is something you need that is not in the unit (such as a cutting board, etc.) I would recommend contacting the owner as he is easy to reach and helpful.

The Tiki bar and pool were nice.

The unit is not a 2Bdrm its 1 Bdrm with 2 king size beds. The day we arrived 1 of the blinds fell down in the bedroom, someone had taped it up. We notified Chris that this allowed people on there balconies to look into the room and that it would allow early morning sunlight. The response was luke warm at best and nothing was done about the blind during our stay so we had no choice but to move to the other bed or risk bein seen by other people on there balconies while we lay in bed. Not thank you.

Awesome condo on the beach with amazing tiki bar downstairs

Chris' condo is very well taken care of and in the perfect location. The tiki bar downstairs was one of the best parts of the trip. Great drinks and great food. We ended up eating at the tiki bar for dinner numerous nights because the price was right and the drinks were strong. They have an great happy hour M-F from 4-7. The beach has rental lounge chairs and umbrellas which we rented each day. There is a great coffee bar downstairs for the mornings. This is almost like a 3 bedroom because of the extra room off the master bedroom has a futon. Lauderdale-by-the-sea is .9 miles down the beach and has shopping, restaurants and a pier. We thought we would spend most of our time there but ended up liking the private beach at the condo the best. The opposite way of Lauderdale-by-the-sea is Las Olas blvd and the Fort Lauderdale beach. There are tons of restaurants, bars and shopping. This was my first time using VRBO and it was a great experience. I would come back!

Lovely Unit

This is a very clean, updated, nicely decorated unit. The two king size beds were a double treat! It's nice to have the king size beds and these beds were very comfortable. There is lots of closet space, and lots of space to stretch out. Much nicer than a hotel room! The apartment has everything you need! Bathrobes, bath towels, beach towels and the owner was kind enough to leave a welcome package of sweets and a bottle of wine (which we appreciated after long stressful flight delays!) Once outside the Unit the Resort has it's issues but the proximity to the beach and the restaurants on the premises have great reasonably priced food! You are close to a Wings Beach Supplies, a Pizza Parlor, McDonalds, CVS, Banks, and supermarket. You can walk to several other restaurants by the fishing pier and the bus lines are about a block away to take you anywhere you want to go in Ft Lauderdale for $4 a day! My only wish is that the owner provided bigger (or a couple more) bath towels as I love to put my hair in a towel after a shower and a baking pan (for frozen pizzas). But the kitchen had everything else we needed and Chris had shaving cream, a few other toiletries, kitchen cleaning supplies, and a few other very thoughtful touches. We would definately come back and rent from him again. Thank you for a wonderful week Chris!

If you don’t mind being on camera each time you come and go - this is your spot! Not me!!!

We have enjoyed many condos at Ocean Manor- so please know all other experiences here have been great. Until this one. While the condo looked exactly like the photos - a few things should be noted before renting from this owner. My review of this owner and his condo: #1 after you pay, you are not given the information to get in until you send him the name/age/ GENDER of each guest. Not kidding. He claims this is Florida LAW - yet in the 20+ times going to FL we have never been asked our genders. Does he not realize this is 2023??? Could be highly offensive to some guest! #2 there is a “smile, you are on camera” sign on the front door, along side a blink camera that I swear he sits by and watches. As we were trying to put our code in and having a problem- he text me to tell me what I was doing wrong so clearly was watching real time video of our group coming and going. Creepy as hell in my opinion. If he wants to video a guest coming and going - they should be disclosed in the listing. That’s a hard no for me. Made us wonder if he cameras inside as well!!! #3 there are signs above almost every sink and toilet saying there would be a 200 charge to call any plumber. Also - sign listing out the charges of practically every item in the condo. If you “loose” a spoon- $15. Sheets $50. Bedspreads $80, and on and on. Seriously. Like I’m coming on vacation to raid your condo? #4. You better like your condo hot. Bc the temperature is set and locked. On 75.

Fort Lauderdale Vacation

We enjoyed our stay very much. Most of the people were very nice. The room it self was clean and nice the only few suggestions I would have is more towels and nicer towels. There were 4 adults there for 10 days and so one towel each meant we were doing laundry more then we would have liked. Other then that it was good. The other thing which I know is out of your control is someone living on that floor was smoking alot of "pot" and it stunk up the hallway.

This property was as seen in the online advertisement. Very clean and well kept. A little confusion checking in but other than that i would recommend the place to anyone looking to stay in beautiful Fort Lauderdale.

We loved Ocean Manor and the apartment. It was clean, convenient to pool, beach and restaurants.

All the amenities of nail and hair salon, Tiki Bar and fabulous Italian restaurant on sight was very helpful and excellent service. The valet for the car was professional and available each day. I highly recommend this property for rent.

Excellent location

Location of property is excellent, condo unit clean and king size beds confortable, facing sunset, not ocean. We love to cook, and found cooking utensils, pots & pans underequipped compared to other condos we rented. Pool neatly situated next to beach, just a small ciment wall to separate deck from beach. No fan in kitchen and "fine" of 600,00$ if the alarm goes on. My wife and I were there with an ex-firefighter who was rather nervous when we cooked our T-bone steaks. He advised us to cook our steaks in the stove to save the fine! Adding a stove fan would be consistent with "fine"… Despite these small inconveniences we basically we had a very good time.

We had very bad experience with this company, There were many roches in the apartment

There were many roaches in the apartment. They were everywhere in the apartmemt, mainly they were in the kitchen under the frige and inside the kitchen cabinets. We checked in at 4 pm and we left the apartment and we came back around 10 pm and we saw the roaches, we went to the front desk at the hotel to get some help but they couldnt help because the apartment is private owned (and the owner chris refused to answer our phone calls). We did not sleep in the apartment and we contacted Chris at 7 am the next day by phone and email and he did not respond till 9 am, and he was rude and was acting as if he did not care and for him it seemed normal to have roaches in a room in Florida. I will attach his response to my emails to you. We went to the office that reprents the private owners and they sent someone to check the roaches out, he found them and said he cannot treat them while we were inside the apartment we contacted the owner but he didn't care.

Very nice place. Convenient.

We really enjoyed our stay, especially the private beach. The condo was comfortable for my family of 6. The food and drinks at the Tiki Bar were excellent! All the resort staff there were friendly. We rented jet skis from the resort next door, which also had great staff. We also ventured out to Hollywood and Miami, so the condo location was perfect for the places we wanted to go. Lauderdale by the Sea and Las Olas Blvd were beautiful and very close by. We walked to Dunkin Donuts every morning, and got groceries for our stay at the near by Winn Dixie. My only dissatisfaction was that we did notice bugs in the kitchen near the end of our stay, but that is beyond the owners control. The room is near the trash room, and you can't honestly expect all your neighbors to live cleanly. I think I personally prefer a private home to a condo or apartment, but the private beach and price do make this rental worth it! We had a wonderful vacation, and Chris contacted us with everything we needed before our arrival. We did not need to contact her for anything during our stay and received our full security deposit after the trip. Thank you for a great week!

Wonderful vacation.

The apartment is spacious, clean and organized (I have OCD). The owner must have too. The owner sent a welcome letter explaining everything and this was very useful. I was always on hand and quickly answered all my questions. The place is fantastic. Close to everything. The pizza at the Tiki bar is delicious. I'll be back soon.

Griswolds vacation

We booked this condo for access to beach. From the minute we arrived, problems ensued. We asked to pay for an extra night and check in early. We arrived and our code did not unlock door; tried calling the owner, then texting. She left us hanging in the hallway with our luggage for 90 minutes before agreeing to unlock the door. On 1/29/18,she sent us a list of requirements which made it impossible to relax. For example, break a glass ; clog toilet ; set off fire alarm . In closet, there is a list of items and replacement cost; i.e. $10 for a face cloth. Very poor quality linens anyway. In addition, cockroaches in the kitchen for the first 10 days; asked bldg mgr to send an exterminator,which they did. 2 bedrooms but only one a/c vent for the entire unit , noisy a/c and bathroom fan. And the kitchen, we were instructed to pull the stove from the wall if stove did not work, which it did not. Tried this and still did not work. Texted owner and she finally agreed to send a repairman the next day. O and the building, it is old and shows it. Only 2 of the 3 elevators work and the fire alarm went off 6 times in the month; the last one at 10:00 pm. After at least 10 minutes, the PA system announced it was a false alarm. They are in the process of fixing their alarm system, but when you are handicapped and on the 8th floor it is frightening. In the end we left this condo cleaned up and no missing items, but alas she refunded $1.00 of my damage deposit for unsubstantiated damage to under sink and some other area. No damage to this unit was caused by us as we were trying our best to not cause any problems and spent most time in restaurants and out of the unit.I asked multiple times for her to return my deposit to no avail. I contacted Home Away who thus far has done nothing to help me get a refund for my deposit.
