The location of this cute cabin was perfect for our two month ski trip. The cabin had a well appointed kitchen and everything you need for a long-term stay. We enjoyed walks to the beach and along the lake bike trail. We will definitely be returning to this cabin.
Our family of four (plus pup) had a great stay. Nice, clean little cabin that had everything we needed. Enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and easy beach access. Thank you, Yvette!

Vintage Tahoe vibes in a great West Shore location right by Homewood. Great communication with the hosts. Unlike a lot of vintage places, this home was very clean and the beds were new and super comfortable.
Nice little cabin very rustic light switch for the upstairs bathroom was a little inconvenient but otherwise we had a nice stay

Perfect getaway spot
Very well thought out place, perfect location just a pleasant walk to lake. We enjoyed the bumper season weather with daytime sun and cool evenings by the fireplace! Really, it felt like home and a vacation all at the same time. Nearby little Obexers (sp?) grocery had an awesome cheese selection for picnics, and we took a nice hike up the nearby road too. I would recommend this for small families and people with pups..wish we could have stayed longer!

Charming cabin on the best (west) shore!
Great Tahoe get away in a prime location for hiking, river rafting, beaching, eating and boating in the summer with the entire family. I think maybe our dog had the most fun in his entire life. And that means a lot. He always has fun, but this was over the top!

We are so delighted to hear that! With Blackwood Creek right down the street, in addition to the Tahoe Pines beach, there are lots of fun dog experiences to be had close to home. I am so glad you explored Blackwood Canyon too. Its a real treasure! Do come again. Cheers, YnP
Yvette and Paul always provide a comfortable cabin in the woods. With our dog Molly we had everything we needed. The cabin stays very comfortable even on cold evenings and there is always the gas fireplace if you need to warm the place up. The location is perfect and only a short walk to the lake with a small accessible beach. It is close to Tahoe City for restaurants and shops and close to Homewood, Squaw Valley, and Alpine Meadows for skiing. We have visited three times over the last 5 years and will be back.

Lovely little cabin in the woods!
Nothing more welcoming than a fresh bundt cake on the counter. The cabin was adorable. Clean and well equipped. What a great location. It was perfect for our "girls's" weekend. The only negative - not enough wifi! It was a good lesson in learning to live without our devices!!!

We are so glad you feel that way Laurie. We are hearing we have found a bit of a sweet spot technologically (in addition to Paul's bundt cake), you can get work done if need be from certain spots, but without strong service everywhere people are getting to focus on each other once again! Interesting... :-)
Fantastic cabin retreat in an ideal location! The cabin had all of the comforts of home, was spotless at check-in, and was absolutely as advertised. We stayed for a week with our two elementary school-aged kids and had a wonderful time. Yvette was incredibly helpful, responsive, and ensured that we had a hassle free check-in and stay. We happily cooked in the well equipped kitchen, enjoyed the board games and the fireplace, and spent our days exploring the nearby ski mountains, hiking, and taking walks through the quiet and friendly neighborhood - as an added bonus the cabin is walking distance to the beach and a kid-friendly hike (Eagle Rock Trail) with some of the best views of the lake and mountains. We can't wait for our next visit. Thank you Yvette and Paul for sharing your home. It is a special place.

The house is warm and comfortable. Kitchen cabinets and dishes are very hard to reach. Cabinets are too high for anyone under 5’6”! Glad my tall daughter was with me! Lots of pots and pans need to be replaced. Many are used & abused. No dishwasher but handwashing is not too bad. The stairs are very steep so beware if you have an elderly person staying with you. Other than that, the cabin is a lovely place to stay.

Hi Sandy, thank you for bringing the pots and pans to my attention. On it! Yvette
Early morning dog walks along the Tahoe Trailways Bike Path. Easy access for kayaking, boarding, swimming, and lounging on the beach. Evenings were on the back deck listening to "nothing" while eating dinner and drinking wine. Playing cards on the dining room table. My family could not have asked for a better location as the perfect respite for the chaos in our everyday lives, unplug, and reconnect. We were fortunate to work in a trip to Reno for Hot August Nights; Tahoe City for rafting; and attend the Concours d'Elegance Wooden Boat Show at Obexer's Boat Company in Homewood. This quintessential Lake Tahoe cabin will check all the boxes if you're looking for a traditional, quiet, and well kept "home away from home." Thanks to Yvette and Paul for their hospitality.

Very Nice Place
My wife and I along with our dog stayed in this two bedroom cabin for 5 nights in mid August. It was perfect for us. It was not large but we did not require a lot of space. There were two bedrooms but we only used the one on the first floor. The cabin was nicely decorated and furnished. A bit dark but we did not spend much time there during the day. The owners stopped by as we were unpacking and they were very nice and offered tips on things to do. Paul made a nice bundt cake which was waiting for us and we worked on that cake for the rest of our stay. If you bring a dog be aware that people who permanently live in the neighborhood do let their dogs roam during the day so there is no leash law. We plan on staying there again as it was within walking distance of the lake and hiking trails. Tahoe City is close by for shopping.

We are delighted to hear that our place beckons you back!! Good news, when you come there will be 2 additional windows in the downstairs bedroom. Until then, Cheers! Yvette and Paul
Our visit to Yvette & Paul’s cabin was iffy with the Caldor Fire but we were able to enjoy one week there. We had four adults and the accommodations were perfect. Yvette & Paul are always gracious hosts and we have stayed at their cabin 5 times now. We will be back again next year.
Had a wonderful time in Tahoe Pines! Yvette was the perfect property manager … providing great recommendations for nearby restaurants and local hiking trails and answering questions/requests super promptly. Location was wonderful … a quick walk to the lake, quiet neighborhood and situated within a short driving distance to Tahoe City for groceries and Emerald Bay for hiking. Cabin was the ideal size for the four of us plus our pooch and outfitted with everything we needed for a great stay.
We had the best time staying here! It was close to shopping, the beach, and lots of hikes. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. Yvette really has thought of all the possible needs of someone staying there. We would definitely stay here again. We loved our log cabin get away.
This was the perfect get away for my husband, dog and I after being cooped up in our home for so long this past year. The house was appointed with all the necessary comforts! The beds were comfortable and the shower nice and hot. They even had bath robes in the closet. Yvette was very responsive and even came over to help us with the TV set up. I set up my business office from the comfort of the dinning room. Due to the location and tall pines the cellular reception was spotty as well as the wifi. This was largely rectified by the wifi extender which we brought and which Yvette purchased from us. It was a lovely stay, and within walking of the beach and some of the loveliest trails in the area. Nice and friendly neighborhood 10 minutes south of Tahoe City and 10 minutes north of Emerald Bay. All in all an excellent stay!

A big thank you to the home owners for providing a very comfortable, quiet, and cozy get away. The cabin was very clean and we enjoyed looking at all of your mementoes. Very nicely furnished, well equipped and well maintained. I only wish the back deck and yard presented as well as the cabin. I would definately recommend this charming cabin.
The cabin was clean. The kitchen was smaller than I expected. The stairs up to the loft were steep. The loft itself was nice.
The neighborhood was filled with friendly people.
We never meet the owner (Yvette).
We had a very nice time.
We stayed in Yvette's cabin for six months and loved every minute of it. The location is ideal. It's just about a 7-minute walk to the lake (even with a toddler in tow), or, if you turn the opposite direction, about 10 minutes to an easy hiking trail through a beautiful mountain meadow.
The cabin is just what we would expect from a cabin in Tahoe: cozy, family (and pet) friendly, and close, but not too close, to the shops in Tahoe City.
And Yvette was a wonderful and accommodating host. She was super responsive to any needs, recommended places to go, and was very respectful of our privacy. She even delivered an amazing cake, twice.
I worked remotely during our stay, and the only downside was the Wi-Fi. It was spotty throughout the day, and my hotspot also wasn't the most reliable, though there is an amplifier in the cabin. Yvette did everything she could to improve the reception. But the coverage and options are fairly limited in Tahoe.
Overall, I can't recommend this cabin and the host highly enough. It felt like home, and we were sad to leave.
That is great to hear! We are so glad.
Thank you. Until next time!
Yvette and Paul

Why they chose this property
Welcome to what was my first Tahoe home back in 1998! I am delighted to now be able to share it with you. Located in one of the West Shore's most beloved neighborhoods, Tahoe Pines is great for strolling to the beach, riding bicycles, and easy walks in the woods. It is a very sunny and friendly place. You just might get hooked. I did and still live near-by. :-)
What makes this property unique
The back deck is lovely for coffee in the morning sunshine. There is a spacious mud room, makes for a handy "drop spot". The big dining room is a real luxury and leaves the living room more spacious than found in most cabins. The open upstairs bedroom enjoys lovely sun morning and afternoon, cross ventilation, it's own private half bath and makes for a great 2nd gathering space. Easy parking close to front door. Street level entry. Dog friendly neighborhood, beach and forest.
