In Eagle Point and the greater Big Bear Lake area, winter brings stunning snowy landscapes that are a joy to behold. However, it's important to be prepared for driving in these winter conditions.

• Driving: The most common way to get around Eagle Point and the wider Big Bear Lake area is by car. The roads are well-maintained, though they can be challenging during winter months due to snow and ice. Visitors often drive to reach various attractions around the lake, as well as to and from nearby cities.

• Snow Chain Requirements: Please be aware that local laws require the use of snow chains on vehicles during icy or snowy conditions. This is for your safety and the safety of others on the road.

• Up-to-Date Road Details: We understand that navigating winter roads can be challenging. • Public Transportation: Big Bear Lake has limited public transportation options. The Mountain Transit provides bus services around the Big Bear Valley, including routes to and from Eagle Point. This service is convenient for those who prefer not to drive or do not have access to a car.

• Shuttle Services: During peak tourist seasons, especially in winter for ski resorts, there are shuttle services that operate to and from major attractions. These shuttles are a convenient way for visitors to move around without the need for personal vehicles.

• Boating: For those interested in exploring the lake itself, boating is a unique mode of transportation during the warmer seasons.
