The Sweet Retreat - Less than 1/2 mile to Dennis Port beaches

A beach forest oasis less than a 1/2 mile from Nantucket Sound. The perfect blend of modern-vintage, a sophisticated yet relaxed camp-like atmosphere where old Cape Cod meets the new.

Walking distance to the Dennis Port beaches and mins from downtown Harwich Port and Dennis Port — numerous restaurants, a health food store, an infrared sauna bar, a yoga studio, a massage salon, ice cream, golf, and, so much more. The Sweet Retreat was tastefully renovated in 2022 and offers two bedrooms, one bath, an indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit.

They call our area a beach forest because of the mature trees around the cottage. Spend the day at the beach, daydream, toast s’mores, and share a drink with family and friends.

The first time we walked into the cottage the words out of my mouth were, this is a very sweet place. The perfect combination of modern and vintage mixed with almost a camp-like feel – sophisticated, yet soft and relaxed. Old Cape Cod meeting new Cape Cod.

Amazing Stay!

The "sweet retreat" is certainly accurate! The property is exceptional and the hosts made high end and thoughtful additions such as top of the line appliances, fresh organic gardens to enjoy, high end soaps and lovely sheets and towels (and even a towel warmer). You are spoiled!! They thought of everything including arriving to a bag of Cape Cod chips, a bottle of wine and a sweet handwritten welcome note! They have board games, speakers, beach chairs and even beach towels available to use! Communication with the owners was easy and timely. Cannot recommend this property more!

Fun and great location.

This cottage is clean, comfortable and with many extras. Beachbag and blanket and chairs were a nice find. The bathroom and kitchen had many supplies to make life easy and comfortable. Plenty of towels and beds are comfortable. Outside is very well maintained with a nice lawn and flowers, outdoor table and chairs where we had several dinners and an herb garden that we enjoyed. Only negative was a rather piercing noise from the hotel pool filter across from the cottage. Bob, the owner, is working with the hotel management to fix this problem. The location is great. Quick walk to tennis courts, a playground and a path to the beach. Very nice get away.
