This house is 175 years old. Because of this, there are some quirks that were not apparent from the listing. The upstairs shower is very small (on a roof slope). It is very hard to use for anyone with height. It was nearly impossible to keep water from getting on the floor. We eventually stopped using the upstairs shower and only used the downstairs one. It was slightly bigger. Neither bathroom has been updated. The kitchen is updated and is very nice. The bedrooms could use some updating as well. Particularly the 3rd room upstairs. The sheets were stained. They seemed to have been washed, but had dirt stains. There is an "owner unit" attached to the main level bedroom. It was locked so the renter could not enter it, but there was no way for the renter to lock it from their side, which was a little off putting. The owner was never there, so it was not too weird.The draw is the location. You can walk to downtown Chatham, which is a huge plus. There is also three bedrooms with queen beds, so it is roomier than a lot of places on the Cape.
