The house was spotless with many amenities. Kids zip line and swing, fire pit,gas fire pit on deck and a wonderful covered porch that we say on and watched the blue ridge parkway. It’s that close to the parkway!
Let me start by saying Isabel is the best, most responsive, host I’ve ever dealt with. Every question - immediately answered. Every detail - handled precisely. Positive responses with top notch hospitality. Went above and beyond both before my trip and during. You don’t find this often. The house was great. The layout was so nice for privacy and comfort. It’s long and wide. The kitchen is huge and had everything we needed. There were 3 separate seating areas plus bar stools. We had an issue with hot water but it was resolved right away. There is a small washing machine and dryer which worked just fine even if we did more loads. There is are tons of games and puzzles plus outdoor things to do in the yard including the Zipline. I will say that the only thing I think I would change is making sure each bedroom has a tv. There’s a tv in only one bedroom so we sometimes fell asleep on the couch trying to relax at the end of the day and I wish that was in a bed. We saw deer multiple times walking through the pastures and enjoyed the multiple fire pits as well. Perfect location for a family vacation - even if you don’t get to see the snow you hoped for! There’s always next time :)
The house was very clean. There were lots of games. It is in the country, so there was a lot of spacious land. The deck and the porch were large and roomy. The back part of the house seems newer than the front part. The kitchen and great room were very nice. I was disappointed that there was no central air conditioning. But I guess I didn’t look closely enough, just assuming it would be included. There were two units in the windows in two of the three bedrooms, but not enough to keep the overall house cool. It was fine in the evenings when the temperature went down.
Perfect Family Getaway with Great Location and Amazing Amenities
We had an incredible stay at this home rental! The property was exceptionally clean and well-organized, with thoughtful personal touches throughout. The family space was perfect, offering a great balance between communal areas and separate sleeping spaces for adults and children. Our kids were thrilled with the games, bowling table, and zip line – they had a blast!
The numerous windows provided stunning views of the meadow stretching towards the Blue Ridge Parkway, creating a serene and picturesque backdrop. We also appreciated the ample parking space and the spacious backyard.
The location right on the Blue Ridge Parkway was excellent, and we loved being close to Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Linville Caverns, the Wilderness Coaster, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, and more. Nearby eating spots included Mountain Boomer, Los Arcoiris Mexican, and the Italian Restaurant in Pineola. We enjoyed ice cream at the Huckleberry Cafe, kettle corn, and Pixie Produce in Linville. While visiting family in Linville Land Harbor, we got a treat from Big Mike’s.
Our favorite spot was undoubtedly the covered porch. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee while soaking in the peaceful surroundings. Overall, this rental exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to return! It was a wonderful, relaxing stay!
