Cozy! Warm and inviting, we were very impressed with everything, especially the clear notes on how to turn everything on.We were certainly remote and isolated. And removed from civilization, except for the neighboring flock of chickens - they were a welcome sight and very entertaining.
The description said sleeps 7 but unless one is sleeping on couch and one in recliner it only sleeps 5. Second bedroom has no door its just at top of stairs. Otherwise cute house with nice porches for porch sitting in warm weather. Rds to get there are very mountain side and narrow but if you want scenic views its perfect.
We had a very nice time staying here. The place was nice and clean and our favorite part was having coffee on the screened-in porch each morning. We would stay here again.
Gorgeous and peaceful setting. Lots of outdoor seating and porches with trickling water in the background makes for drinking coffee in the morning outside just perfect. Cabin host provides literally everything and made check in super easy. Host is also very timely with responding to messages. Will definitely be returning!
Great place only complaint is vrbo directions take you to nowhere be sure to put adress of cabin in your gps before heading out since cell signal isnt that good on the roads to cabin
We went to the Penn State spring game and spent time fishing, exploring the parks and the area. We enjoyed our stay at the cabin everything was clean and cozy. We plan on using the cabin in the future! Thank you for hosting us.
Wish we could stay longer to enjoy the fabulous exterior. Inside was everything we needed for a great weekend. Our goal was hiking and this location did not disappoint. If you are looking for outdoor fun in the hot or cold weather this is IT! Proximity to any and every outdoor activity is our top recommendation. Our host was very responsive, so important when you mostly off the grid. But internet at the place was solid. FYI our GPS led us to 244 instead of 231 Poe Valley Road.
Enjoyed our night. Was a quick stay unfortunately. Just make sure to screen shoot all messages prior to getting there, like address and pins. No cell service once in area. Everything you need is there though.
We were very comfortable and happy with our stay. Everything we needed was there. We were gathering with Family at Poe Paddy State Park And found the place to be very convenientWe were three adult family members so the accommodations worked very well for us. To reach the second, more spacious bedroom, the staircase is a bit steep, and there is not a door which closes it off from the rest of the house. This was not a problem for us, but might be for some guests. We would definitely come back.
The location was great!! Minutes from the lake and park. Cabin was nice liked that it had indoor plumbing/bathroom.!! Many cabins in the area do not! Host was very friendly and prompt to correspond with answered questions. Loved the screen porches. The only thing I did t like was how dirty the porch was on the end. We didn’t use!! Would stay here again !!
I love the mountain view, and the location. We enjoyed hiking the Bells Majestic view, toured Penn's Cave and enjoyed local restaurants. The house was clean and decor fit yhe cabin vibe.It was nice and cozy. I specifically enjoyed all the amenities. We had access to cups, plates and dishes ( we made sure to washed them before leaving). In the Bathroom we had everything we needed toiletries soaps etcs. We brought our own stuff as we didn't think it included it but its a nice thing to have. The best thing at night is the peace and quiet. We could hear a pin falling lol The manager is great, responsive and friendly! I recommend and will go back in the summer for part 2. Thank you!!
Found this location while looking for a last minute place to call home for the weekend. It’s about a 40 minute scenic drive through the mountains from state college. The property and house were clean and inviting. Everything was as described. We will look to stay on future visits.
Very nice place for family weekend - clean, well equipped and comfortable. It’s deep in a mountain community and windy gravel roads to get there.
Beds were not as described: second bedroom/loft only had one queen and one single NOT 2 queens and a single! Good thing we brought extra sleeping pads, etc.
