Great location and beautiful view from dock! Owners were prompt to respond when we had a few small issues. Plenty of room for our group of 8 and we had an excellent time!
This charming house had everything we could hoped for, spacious comfortable bedrooms with large bathrooms, plenty of lounge areas to gather or steal away to read a book, large screened in patio to gather for dinner, and a spacious kitchen area. The lake is just a few steps away, and other activities just a short drive. Everyone in our large group had a fantastic time.
Stayed here with my family for Easter weekend. The home was beautiful! We had a blast with all of the space in and outside the home. We had an Easter egg hunt for the kids in the large yard, fire pit for s'more's & enjoyed the dock for our boat. Plenty of room inside for everyone to spread out as well. Would definitely recommend!
The property was PERFECT for our family vacation. We all had plenty of room and each room had its own bathroom!! The house was stocked with more than enough of everything. Even games! It is super close to everything Guntersville has to offer. We will definitely stay here again!
Every last detail of this property was fantastic for our family reunion, even down to the amazing host! If you’re considering this property, go ahead and book it! You won’t be disappointed!
Everything about this property was perfect! Clean house, great beds, separate gathering spaces for large groups, outdoor cooking and the BEST host ever! Highly recommended! We will be back.
We were made to feel welcome and appreciated even before we arrived. Our host communicated often with us, answers all of our questions and even helped locate firewood.
The house was perfect for our group of 8. We will return!!!
We had a fantastic stay and place was perfect for a 4 night immediate family get together. Mary was an excellent host and very communicative. Just a few days prior to checking in their was a septic issue. She informed me that she will do everything to get it fixed before arrival. Advised there may be a hole or bush dug out and offered at that time refund or to reschedule. We were quite ok with that and made the drive. Only issue remained was 1 clogged sink which plumbers fixed on the first day. As far as the house and property, it is as described and was perfect for us. The dock was great to tie our boat to and the nearest launch was extremely close. We had a great time. Thanks Mary!
We were a group of 4 couples, and this house couldn't have been more perfect for our group. Each of the five bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom, plus a powder room on the main level. The bedrooms were spread out over the three levels of the house, so we all felt like we had our own space. There were multiple areas to sit and talk, and our favorite was the large screened deck. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. Host Mary Shea was very responsive and made communication and check-in a breeze. We'd stay here again.
The house and property was perfect for our family. Enough space for everyone and lots of gathering spots for when we were sharing meals, playing games, or just visiting. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. The property provided us with a space to walk and enjoy birdwatching. We sat on the boathouse deck and enjoyed the views. I can’t say enough about Mary as a host. Communication was excellent and I appreciated her help as we dealt with a winter storm during this time. We hope to return in the future!
There were several things that made this trip a hit!
--Nature We felt like we were in the mountains with a lake. My grand children saw an eagle, a red fox, and a bat while hooking fish off the dock.
--Everyone had their own bathroom for their privaate
--The screen-in porch made it prefect for our birthday party.
--Mary was such a great host; she responded to all my questions timely.
We were in the area for a baseball tournament with four families. I spoke with the owner Mary before arrival about a few questions. Mary was extremely helpful with everything. There was more than enough room for all the families. We enjoyed cooking and the kitchen was equipped with anything you could think of. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were very clean and the house was perfect for us. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and kayaking. Our only disappointment was not having enough time at the house because we had to go to the baseball fields to see our boys play. We have talked about going back in the fall for a vacation. Thank you Mary for a wonderful visit!!!
Extra-large cozy home on Beautiful Lake Guntersville
Beautiful and clean home. We loved making our own breakfast and eating outside on the X-large outdoor screened in porch with plenty of seating.
Having a bathroom in each bedroom was a plus!
We only had 2 Vehicle to park but there was plenty of space for more.
We were 10 miles from City Harbor and some of the best restaurants around! And a 20-minute ride to Cathedral Caverns, which were absolutely BEAUTIFUL, a Must!
It was very pleasant, relaxing and fun Birthday weekend for myself and everyone loved the time that we spent at the house and rambling around Guntersville. Our host was very helpful anytime we needed her.
The weather was so nice but was too windy for a pontoon boat ride. Other than that, we wished we had longer to stay.
This home was amazing! Thank you for having us! We love Lake Guntersville.
The house set up *perfectly* for our large group! Plenty of common areas while also having plenty of rooms and bathrooms for eveyone as well. We would stay here again!A couple notes to be aware of:- This house is centrally located on the main lake, which is awesome if you're planning to swim at the dock or bring a boat (no shallow, grassy coves to try and deal with). A launch ramp is also less than five minutes away. - The listing states it, but there are stairs required to access the main level of the home.- It's a bit of a walk to the boat dock - maybe a couple hundred yards. We enjoyed having the space to walk, but just be aware. There was a large wagon available when we were there, which was very helpful!- The host was very responsive and quickly remedied an issue we had with the grill. Thank you!!- There were several TVs available in common areas, but most (if not all) bedrooms did not have their own TVs -- that wasn't a problem for us in the least, just a note!- The fridge and pantry had plenty of space! We were able to do all of our cooking throughout the week.- During your stay, you may need to re-stock some basic necessities like trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, etc. We had what we needed to get started the first night, but had to restock --- not a big deal, just something to plan for.Great property and host -- 5 stars, would recommend!
My friends and I just had an excellent long weekend in this beautiful home in a safe and lovely area. There are several places to relax and enjoy each other’s company. The bedrooms with comfortable beds and their own bathrooms are perfect for couples to have privacy and plenty of personal space. A well stocked kitchen with all you need to prep and cook meals was icing on the cake of great accommodations. One of the ladies in our group raved about the cleanliness of everything and expressed her wish to find a housekeeper as thorough is theirs. The property offers great areas for taking walks even if it’s too cold to partake in fishing or other water sports. I highly recommend this rental for couples, groups of friends, and families with kids. Bear in mind that there are quite a lot of stairs to climb. So, if you’re older or dealing with injuries, you need to be prepared for that. We ranged in age from 58-89 and had a wonderful time! Our host, Mary was phenomenal. She answered any questions I had prior to our stay, sent photos showing me things I was curious about, and made sure we were comfortable during our time there. I can only imagine how much fun could be had at this house during warmer months. You’d be able to take advantage of Lake Guntersville and all it has to offer.
