The house is beautiful and was very comfortable for our family of nine. The property is very private and has great views of the water. The surrounding area is super scenic. Overall we had a wonderful stay!
We had a great time at this lovely home overlooking the water. Our favorite was collecting mussels from the bay and cooking them along with some fresh lobsters. The house and kitchen was well stocked.
We had a great stay at Camp Muchemore! The weather didn't cooperate for us to use anything outdoors, but the location is beautiful. The inside amenities were great for a family of 4 to rest and relax and have some downtime after a week of sightseeing in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Responsive hosts answered questions and took care of any issues we had. Recommend for future guests.
Beautiful property - wonderful vacation - so much to do!!Everything was as described and pictured with the property with the exception of:1. Drought conditions caused us to have water issues - the wells ran dry. We needed to conserve showers, flushing toilets, dishes etc …. 2. Salty water caused the dishes, pots & pans, silverware etc. to have a lime residue on them. Not appealing to use at all. These issues were quickly addressed by Amanda (property management company) who quickly had dishes and silverware at our doorstep within hours and Kevin (caretaker) who checked on us multiple times daily regarding the water supply. Kudos to Amanda and Kevin for a job well done.
Camp Muchemore is a very nice rental for the right family. There were 5 adults and 2 children (ages 10 and 2) in our small “group”. There is a half bath upstairs (no shower or tub) off of a bedroom with a king bed. The main level has 2 queen bedrooms (one does not have a closet), and they share one bathroom with tub/shower. Also, a main room that includes the living, dining and kitchen areas. The basement level has 4 built-in “bunkies” (2 with trundles) and nice walk-in shower with toilet and sink. There is a pool table and laundry room. The stairs to the basement turn halfway down, and blend so well with the flooring, and has a slight height variance it creates quite the hazard. I missed that step, fell and broke my neck! It was reported. Through no fault of the owner or rental company our power was out for close to 24 hours caused by a storm. Which meant no flushing, showering, laundry, hot tub or any water use for that period of time. The house is on a well system. Drinking and cooking water is provided, but all other water usage is extremely salty including the hot tub. The hot tub and other outdoor amenities: grill, fire pits, propane pot, were all very satisfactory. Our grandson even got mussels on the beach that were prepared and eaten All in all the rental is nice, it just wasn’t set up for the structure of our family. The host did accommodate any extras we asked for and promptly. Thanks for the use of your lovely house for the week of July 11 - 18. Barb
