Graduation Weekend

We stayed here during my daughter‘s college graduation weekend. Was a great home to relax, and and we also had the opportunity to host another family for dinner, which worked out very well with the beautiful patio.

Comfy spacious home!

This home was beautiful, comfy, and spacious. We were there for only two nights but wish we were there longer to enjoy the patio and hot tub. Allie is amazing, super understanding, quick to respond, and a great host! I would recommend this home to anyone who wants to be i. The middle of it all but in a quiet private neighborhood.

Wonderful stay near Drake

The property was a perfect fit for our needs. It is within walking distance to Drake. The house is beautifully restored. The back deck was a personal favorite! The owner was incredibly communicative when we had a few small requests. They were responsive and prompt! We made a few small suggestions to make it better and the owner was also receptive to that. We would stay here again! Thank you!

Good location for our event and parking was plentiful. Des Moines is a lovely city! This home was spacious, the owner was responsive, and three bathrooms were nice and clean. The kitchen had newer appliances and was nice. It was a very hot weekend, so we were very happy that the home’s AC worked well! However, a couple items in the home were old and in need of repair. The coffee maker was tiny and the house could use a couple more stools in the kitchen. I recommend the house for a big group.

Hi Katie - I am glad you enjoyed the stay and the home worked for your group. You went above and beyond for checking out! I know we have spoken since your stay, so am saddened to hear you felt there were old items needing repaired. The home is old and part of what gives it character, but would love the opportunity to chat about the items you feel need fixed. I will reach back out so I can work to correct!

This is a spacious home very close to downtown and Drake University in a nice neighborhood. The rooms are large. We were there with a group of four women and the space was comfortable. The beds were comfortable. There is a nice deck for evenings or breakfast. It would have been shaded in the afternoon if someone was there then. It was nice to have off-street parking. It was a great location for downtown activities. The owner was promo to reply to any questions. We enjoyed our stay there and would return if in the city again.
