Charming Mesa Home by Douglas Preserve

Located in Santa Barbara, this house is a dream. Nestled in a serene neighborhood, this terrific vacation rental offers a cozy escape for guests. With 4 bedrooms, including 2 king beds, queen bed, and 2 twin bed, everyone will find their perfect spot to unwind. The house features 3 full bathrooms, two located in the the two king bedrooms and one in common space. Located near the Douglas Preserve on the Mesa and a short walk to Mesa Lane beach entrance, if looking to go into downtown Santa Barbara that would just be a short drive!

We have a weber charcoal grill, we will leave what charcoal is left behind but you may need to bring your own.

Parking for two vehicles in the driveway. Street parking is free

Checkout is at 11 everyday except for sunday, we have to have a 10am checkout on sundays.

I really enjoyed this home. Wish we would've known that you can't use the fireplace before we booked, but overall great property and very close to a nice walking park by the beach.

Cute/spacious home in great location!

My husband, daughter and her boyfriend stayed at Jay's home on the mesa in Santa Barbara and loved it! Perfect location to check out UCSB and have a fabulous dinner in Montecito. Having the Douglas Family Preserve right down the street was amazing. The house is spacious and stylish, we loved everything about our stay! Highly recommend!

great house

We enjoyed staying in this beautiful house and loved the quiet neighborhood, an easy walk to the beach (down many steps but beautiful), and not too far a drive to state street. Rooms were comfortable, spacious and very clean. Our main suggestion for improvement is to equip the kitchen with proper cutlery (there were too few for us), dishes, decent pots/pans and other kitchen tools (there was no wine bottle opener which was a bummer on our first night...). otherwise - a great stay.

Dingy house

The beds in this house seemed clean, but the upholstery and rugs were very dirty. The walls had water stains all over them. On top of that, there appeared to be a person living in the garage. I would not have rented the house had I realized the "studio" mentioned in the ad was the garage with an adjoining door into the house. I would not recommend staying here until the owner takes care of these issues.
