We had a very nice stay here in Chester, with relatively easy access to Okemo and other nearby resorts. The historic nature of the house is lovely and well maintained. Kitchen is well appointed and easy to use, and internet / tv works great. Do be aware that the stairs to the second floor (where all beds are) are narrow and steep and the second floor ceilings are quite low for taller guests.

Huge fees for Vacasa
Serene environment and lovely home close to town. We invited a third guest because the house sleeps “10.” The tree of us wanted separate rooms so he slept on a pullout on the first floor for privacy. Sheets and pillows for the pullout were nowhere to be found. Our friend left. Vacasa will text and email you non-stop providing no value compared to other properties we stay at. Long story, 2 bedrooms with additional place to sleep others if sheets and pillows were available. Massive fees from Vacasa with borderline harassment communication, communication, and texts.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, Chris. I’m glad to hear that you found the home lovely and enjoyed the serene environment. However, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced regarding the lack of sheets and pillows for the pullout bed. I understand how important it is to have adequate sleeping arrangements, and I’m sorry that this was not provided during your stay.
I also appreciate your feedback regarding our communication. We strive to keep our guests informed, but I understand that excessive communication can feel overwhelming. Your comments will be taken into consideration as we work to improve our guest experience.
Thank you again for your insights. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide a more enjoyable stay.
