Such a nice location to enjoy your cup of coffee in the morning or your glass of wine in the evening on the deck or down by the lake. Very quiet and laid back. We really enjoyed our stay.
My buddy and I stayed there for a golf weekend. It was very quite, Rick was very helpful and it is a very charming cabin on a very charming lake.If he'll have me back, i plan to bring my wife there for a nice extended weekend stay.

This property is absolutely beautiful and provided us with a week of relaxation and beauty. The cabin gave us all that we needed and was extremely clean and attractive. The hosts accommodated our every need and provided us with great dining suggestions.
Perfect place to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary.
Very peaceful area & adorable cabin. We enjoyed coffee on the dock, paddle boating, kayaking, fishing, listening to the Loons & watching the Eagles. We found the Eagle's nest. At the end of our adventurous days we relaxed around the fire.

Glad that you enjoyed the cabin thanks for coming to Miller Lake.
very QUIET lake after Labor Day!! loved being to fish off the paddle boat provided. Location is excellent to go to many different lakes to fish and explore the many unique surrounding towns. Definitely going back next year
Beautiful clear lake, awesome peddle-boat and kayaks. Had the lake to ourselves. Had a lot of firewood for the toasty wood stove and fire pit. Great glider on the dock for watching the sunrise and magnificent stars. Very relaxing stay!
Private lake with beautiful clear water. Very little boat traffic so kayaking was wonderful. Great time to teach my 11 yr old grandson. So quiet and peaceful

Thank you for the nice review! Tell Caden we found the strainer! Got hidden behind the cookie sheets in lower right cabinet.
My family and I had a wonderful time. Relaxed, swam, and fished. Caught sunnies off the dock. Also caught Northern and Bass on the pontoon. The hosts were wonderful.
The property is very well maintained with convenient access to the lake. You can swim right off the dock. We used the provided paddleboat and kayaks frequently. The lake itself is clean and very quiet. The hosts were welcoming and the cabin had everything we needed. We would definitely come back!

About the host
Hosted by Rick Taplin
Hi! We are Rick & Cindy Taplin. We have owned the property since 1996. We have recently retired and our home is next door to the guest cabin. We love it up here and hope you enjoy your time here as well! We have 2 grown children, 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters--who we love to visit in the Twin Cities. Rick is an avid runner and I enjoy pickleball. We also enjoy gardening, fishing, spending time on the lake and bonfires with friends. Please join us!
Why they chose this property
Miller Lake is a quiet, private lake since there is no public access. The water is very clear and you can catch panfish right off the dock or from the paddleboat. At night you can fall asleep listening to the loons and owls. It's an easy drive from the Twin Cities but has an 'up north' woodsy feel.
What makes this property unique
The cabin and landscaped yard are clean and well kept. It is easily accessible to grocery stores etc and attractions around Brainerd.
