About the host
Hosted by Peter & Stephanie Weinbrecht
My husband and I live in Northern VA and enjoy lots of outdoor activities — which prompted us to buy rental properties on a lake and at the beach. We enjoy fixing up houses and do most of the work ourselves. Being hosts has enabled us to take home improvements one step further by creating relaxing and well equipped homes for our guests to enjoy.
Why they chose this property
We chose the house in Lake Gaston for several reasons: the gorgeous lot, proximity to Pete’s cousin (who lives off Poe creek), the deep water at the boat house, and the remote location setting lined with trees. The views sold us on the home, and we think you’ll fall in love with this little slice of paradise, just as we did.
What makes this property unique
The location and amenities! You can view the main lake from the boathouse, and goat island is a short kayak ride away. Our cove isn’t as busy with boat traffic as others we’ve visited, and yet it’s wide enough to offer a fantastic view and privacy from neighbors across the cove.
