Experience the charm of historic Rome in this elegant 70 m² apartment, located in a beautiful 19th-century building (1886) in the Colosseum district, just a short walk from the iconic Colosseum and Termini Station.

The apartment is completely private and will be exclusively yours during your stay – no shared spaces.

About the Area:
The apartment is located in the Colosseum neighborhood, one of the oldest and most diverse districts in Rome, known for its vibrant markets, majestic churches, and rich cultural atmosphere. Just steps away lies the awe-inspiring Colosseum and the archaeological area of the Roman Forum, as well as countless bars, restaurants, and bakeries that blend Roman tradition with international flavors.
Excellent transport connections (Termini Station and several metro/bus stops) make it easy to explore the entire city.

The building itself is quiet and historic, featuring a peaceful inner courtyard adorned with lush plants – a true oasis in the center of the city.

Inside the Apartment:

A bright, spacious area with a large window, 40” LCD Smart TV (with Netflix, Prime Video, and more), a dining table for four, a double sofa bed, and an additional sofa. The room is air-conditioned and ideal for relaxing after a day in the city.

- Bedroom (26 m²):
A sunny and elegant room with a comfortable queen size bed (160 x 200 cm / 63 x 79 inches) with a hypoallergenic mattress, a large wardrobe, and air conditioning for maximum comfort.

- Kitchen:
Fully equipped with all essentials, including a refrigerator, freezer, gas stove, oven, Italian moka coffee maker, capsule coffee machine (with premium espresso capsules provided), and full kitchenware.

Bathroom looked completely different from listing photos — narrow tub, worn fixtures, slow drain. Shower pressure very weak. Walls thin. Most seriously, while connected to the property WiFi, I received unauthorized login attempts on two of my accounts at 3am. When I raised the WiFi security concern with the host, she dismissed it. VRBO declined to intervene when contacted. Travelers with families should be aware.

Good morning George, I'm very sorry to read your review. I truly care about ensuring that all my guests have an excellent experience in my apartment, and when I receive negative feedback—fortunately, this is quite rare—I am genuinely disappointed. Regarding the bathroom, I would like to confirm that it's exactly as shown in the listing photos. I personally took the pictures and I'm not able to use any editing tools, so they accurately reflect the apartment. As for the design, we intentionally chose a vintage style, with new fixtures inspired by ceramic sanitary ware typical of the 1970s. I understand that this aesthetic may not suit everyone’s taste, as it is ultimately a matter of personal preference. I would also like to address your concerns regarding the alleged attempted access to your account, as reported by you. As I explained, the apartment’s WiFi network is protected by a firewall that prevents unauthorized access. For this reason, it seems highly unlikely that a third party could have attempted to access your Gmail account through the apartment’s connection. I contacted my internet service provider, who confirmed that there were no suspicious or external accesses to the network. I also reached out to guests who stayed before and after you, and none reported any similar issues. That said, I must admit I was somewhat surprised to receive this review, especially considering that during your stay in the apartment you did not raise any concerns, and only did so after I sent a reminder regarding the payment of the city tax, which had not been settled at check-out despite being clearly stated. I am sure this is simply a coincidence; however, I felt it was worth mentioning for clarity. In any case, I wish you all the best.

This flat's location is wonderful! Lovely park (Piazza Vittorio Emmanuele) with a Metro station a block away, numerous restaurants, coffee bars, bakeries and grocery stores within a few blocks, and easy walking distance to the Colosseum, Forum and most sights. Generally quiet too. We had a great stay.

Great stay

We had a great stay at this apartment. Convenient for the train station and getting to all the sights of Rome. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby and easy for buses and metro. Felt like living with the local population rather than as a tourist. Very good communication with hosts who were helpful at all times.

Large apartment — quiet and comfortable retreat

After roaming Rome, we looked forward to returning to this apartment. The rooms are spacious and well arranged for lounging, reading, snacking and sleeping. Excellent air conditioning units cool down and keep the large rooms cool (we were there in July). Nearby are good restaurants and the Termini train station and metro stations are within easy walks.

The host was not attentive and managed the heater in the apartment from a phone app. We froze every night after texting him to warm it up. When you rent abroad pictures are also very deceiving . When we arrived the building is very cold off the beaten track from Rome and moldy. The bathroom was not easy to maneuver as the bathtub was very small narrow and you can easily slip. Also the VBRO description says a washer and dryer but the dryer we were told is outside … hang them out. Well that didn’t work. Being in Italy for a month you need to wash so we found a laundry mat and paid extra.

At that time I had just one apartment.
The idea was to give my guests an entire apartment with all the conforts at a price more convenient than an hotel room.
It has been a success! Guests loved this type of accomodation: having an own kitchen, a washing machine and all the confort of their own home
I met a lot of people from all over the word and I really ejoyed it.
A lot of time has passed since that days and my passion for this work has grown day by day.
The experience accumulated in all these years alows me to offer my guests an unforgettable holiday with a big attention to details
