Waterfront (Sunset-front) 4BR/3BA Family Getaway

Built May 2017. Cottage is set one house back from Atlantic Avenue and sits directly on the Webhannet River. This quiet, convenient location offers privacy from traffic and easy access to the beach for your summer getaway. Features modern finishes, SS appliances, and custom furnishings. Five outdoor decks/living areas to enjoy the abundant ocean and river views.

GROUND LEVEL: Offers 2-3 car tandem parking along a 10’ wide right-of-way corridor; length of cars will determine whether 3 cars fit. Private outdoor hot/cold shower. Large gas grill and outdoor bar/lounge set. Small lawn area. Corn hole, beach chairs, toys all provided. Bring your own kayaks/canoes/paddle-boards and launch right off our seawall into the river.

FIRST FLOOR: Open-concept kitchen/dining/living with expansive water views over the river and marsh. Fully stocked kitchen, walk-in pantry, island bar seating and dining table seats 8-10. Outdoor dining table seats 8-11 on deck directly off the kitchen/living area. Entry area for shoes and beach bags. Full bath with stall shower. Bedroom behind kitchen with pull-out couch (American Leather 'Queen Plus' temperpedic mattress). Living area sectional, swivel rocker, and 4 storage ottomans offers flexibility for use.

SECOND FLOOR: Covered, eastern-facing deck with ocean/beach views - a morning sunshine coffee deck. Master suite (king) w/large walk-in closet, double-vanity bath and walk-in shower. Full-capacity side-by-side W/D in hall closet with ample counter space for folding. Expansive western-facing, partially-covered 'sunset' deck with ample seating for relaxing.

THIRD FLOOR: Bedroom (king) with ocean views connecting to a private south-facing deck. 'Bunkroom' has a built-in bunk and a 2nd bunk with pull-out trundle. Full bath with tub/shower.

OTHER AMENITIES:
- All 5 decks/outdoor living areas are outfitted with comfy furniture for dining and lounging.
- Quick, easy access to Wells Beach between Public Way 8 and 9.
- Wired AC units in Living Room, Master, and each of the 3rd floor bedrooms.
- Wi-Fi and 4 wall-mounted 50-60" smart TVs throughout.
- For your convenience, we provide paper products, kitchen wrap/foil, basic condiments, bath soap, laundry detergent, propane for the grill, ass't beach toys and beach chairs.
- All bed and bath linens are provided; beds are made upon your arrival and baths are fully stocked with plenty of towels. Guest need only bring beach towels.

NOTE RE PARKING: Please take note that the property accommodates 2-3 cars parked in tandem along a 10' wide corridor between a fence and the house. This means it'll be tight getting in/out of your car. It is not a good rental for those with trouble parking in tight spaces, those looking to host a crowd with guests in and out, or those with large, over-sized vehicles. There are metered day-lots nearby and overnight parking is available at the Wells Train station across from Exit 19 off Rt 95.

Will definitely be returning to this GEM! This house was above and beyond beautiful. The layout of the house was perfect and provided ample space for all the guests. The beds were VERY comfortable, everyone slept well. This house provided plenty of linens for both bath and bed. We had two 8 year olds and three 13 year olds and there was plenty of activity. The kids loved heading into the low tide marsh to explore. They were also able to walk themselves to the beach just a hop, skip and jump away. We also enjoyed short drives to nature preserves in Wells and other rocky beaches in Kennebunk where the kids found several pieces of sea glass and explored tide pools. We went in the off season and there were still plenty of places to eat. The owners were extremely communicative and we look forward to returning!

This house is amazing. The view is incredible! We saw bald eagles and harriers from the dining room table! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything from lots of silverware to a cocktail shaker! The bedrooms are comfy!! Everything was clean and cute! Loved the decor! We had a great time with parents and our kids. Easy walk to an incredible beach! Magical! Hosts were great! No issues. Beautiful Views

Sit back and relax with a glass of rosé on one of the many decks and take in the beautiful views!! My family and I enjoyed a week long stay at this gorgeous home. Directly across the beach, we were able to walk across the street and enjoy some beach days. The home is also very close to Kennebunkport for a fun day of shopping and is also close to Ogunquit for some night life. A five star stay!

Wonderful stay!

We loved everything about our stay here! The girls loved the house, as did we, and it was just what we needed for a week of relaxing. Everything is so close to this house, 10 mins to Kennebunkport, 30 mins to Portland, and a little less than 1 hour and 45 mins back to Boston to see our family. The hosts were very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. We would come back for sure!

Family Weekend on the Beach

We’ve been coming to this property for five years, and each stay somehow feels better than the last. It’s the perfect spot for our family to relax, recharge, and enjoy Maine’s natural beauty. A little slice of heaven

My husband and two kids had a wonderful stay. House is beautiful and location is everything. We enjoyed several of the decks for sunsets and sunrises. We especially loved front deck for people watching, sunrises, and listening to waves. A one minute walk to gorgeous Wells beach. I imagine this neighborhood is bumping in season, but was quiet and relaxing in April. Highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful house right on the water, incredibly clean and exactly as the pictures show. It is a perfect layout for multiple people/couples, plenty of space and beds. The multiple decks on the house with different views allowed us to spend plenty of time outside without even having to leave the house. The house has everything you could possibly need and more and Renee was so helpful/thoughtful our entire stay. Can’t recommend this rental enough!

Perfect summer house !

We rented Aaron and Renee ‘s house for two weeks in September for the first time. The house is very clean and has a perfect location, close to the beach but without the cool ocean breeze that often is uncomfortable. The sunsets over the marsh are spectacular . We're working parents living in the NH seacoast area. We were married in Kennebunkport and have enjoyed countless summers in Wells.

Why they chose this property

It's western facing and direct waterfront. It's directly on the river so it offers direct access when you want to kayak, boat, fish or jump off the sandbars in the river (like our kids do). You're treated to wide views of unobstructed sunsets with ever-changing views over the marsh as tides come in and out. It's very peaceful when you want a break from the ocean yet beach access is mere steps away. It's quick and painless to run back and forth from the house to the beach. For us, truly the best of both worlds!

What makes this property unique

Wells Beach is very family-friendly with a wide open sandy beach that goes out forever at low tide. In addition to the beach you have lots of open spaces to explore- the jetties, the harbor, the marsh. It's away from hustle and bustle yet super convenient to groceries, restaurants, and lots of shops. It's unplugged time to reconnect with family and friends. Or time to just be alone with the views!
